When I look at this picture, I see a HOSS 3 as clearly beefier.... It is the "fins" or stiffening ribs that dynamically make the housing significantly more ridged... If you notice the orientation of the "ribs" they appear to be designed to add rigidity where the housing would need the increase...

You will not even notice a change of 5..... or even 10..... in either direction. That is the difference in tires of the "same size" made by different tire manufacturers. 10 is less than 1/2 inch.

I think so.... It came shipped that way and did not seem harmed in any way, but I am not. I placed it upright in the back and strapped it to a rear panel molly. The weight sits on the floor. I can even put my rear seats upright in a 2 door no less!

Just thought I would mention... I got a bottle jack that has all kinds of extensions. So far I am impressed. May turn out to be crap but it seems pretty well built. It packs away in a really small nice little bag. Made in China but what isn't anymore... Just somethin to think about...
