Found this in the Drivers side door pocket of my 2021 2 Door Base Squach tonight. Have not figured out where it came from yet but a quick google search on the part number came back as Ford Body Plug. And they are out of stock so I feel lucky because I apparently have an extra. Ha Ha Ha.

The base uses 3M tape and if you clean the area with rubbing alcohol It will not come off until you rip it off. The magnet is very powerful and it comes with a couple size metal plates to stick to your phone. I have not had it fall off and have used this base for at least 10 years.

I thinking an aftermarket company could make a rear support for the front panels that bolts on using the existing threaded holes that the rear clamshell bolts to. Giving the front panels the extra support that the rear clamshell provides.

My Brother-Inlaw bought one for his 69 Bronco a few years back and has never had any issues with it. Im sure if you are winching every day it might fail but in my opinion ( not worth much) Its just fine for getting you out of an occasional jam.
