Sport mode on my F150 is good and removes lag but it’s a PITA because I have to click through the column shifter and scroll through the different ones. Plus it makes it hold gears which I don’t need.

If you are getting a 2 door and want a manual i would go for it. The ranger I drove I didn’t really notice any turbo lag. The mustang with the 2.3 manual you definitely didn’t notice any.
