My first inclination was to say “same” Quieter ride, no doubt. The construction of the top lends itself to minor squeaks/rattles. One other small benefit is better visibility out of the rear view mirror which is normally blocked by the folded down top. Different / “cleaner” look, I guess? IMO...

Yep OP said it. I think they’re supposed to sit flush on top of the pin. Mine was lifted up on both sides originally. The pic is how it should look.

I had a pop/squeak right rear and corrected with soft top realignment. Check that the soft top is seated flush on the alignment pins (back by where the top bolts on). My top was misaligned 1/4” and 1/2” on either side. Worth a shot!

Also wanted to say - there’s certainly a lot of pandering to venders that we’re all aware of, but from the jump on this issue it was pretty clear @IAG Performance wasn’t totally at fault here. The tops were slapped on @ factory and mis-aligned (in most cases I’d bet), so check your alignment...

Just wanted to circle back on this. See screenshot from owners manual regarding soft top alignment. My top was off the alignment pins 1/2” on drivers side an 1/4” on passenger.

Still a very tight fit with the top all the way down. Seems like there’s going to be minimal clearance either way. The rig comes from the factory with PPF and felt tape inside the soft top frame, so Ford knew it was a tight fit already. The struts take up much of that remaining free space when...

Regarding the soft top alignment - my top was not seated properly. I believe it’s supposed to sit flush on top this pin sticking out. Mine was not seated flush on either side of the top. Definitely worth checking your top alignment bolts even if you didn’t buy this product.

Mornin all - I have the paint scuffs on both sides and both struts. Loosened and re-tightened all the soft top bolts and realigned the top. Also PPFd the bottom 6” of both roll bars and put about an 2 inches of felt tape on the strut.

Thanks! All the stuff I got from them was good quality and easy enough to slap on (must have a spray bottle w soapy water and they send a felt tool to get the air/water bubbles out). The hood decal took me 1 try, no bubbles. The gas door decal took me 3 tries..operator error / impatience.
