Whelp, I think I'm settled.
4dr BadSquatch, OW, V6/AT Lux, couple pod lights and a winch.
Gonna run the soft top and get a black modular when they come out.
Here's one, that's probably purely technical and therefore a "bug"
When I add the engine block heater, the site insists on rerendering the image, and fails. No need to re-render a non-appearance changing item IMHO, or at least please do it quickly.
Haven't read the whole thread here (target rich environment) but, I was looking forward to the "dual top option" that was advertised back-in-the-day. I see no such option.
I can get a hard top, and add a bikini top accessory, but was looking forward to the full soft top and a modular too.
Why don't they give me a soft top, let me take delivery, and ship the Black Modular to the dealer when its ready? I mean, if we're picking these up in June.... there's several months where I would be using a soft top anyway <shrug>
OK, a couple things really don't make sense. I've been planning a 4dr BadSquatch, 2.7/Auto. So... why... things like this?
Paint Protection Film (NOTE: Not available with 2.7L Engine)
Brush Guard (NOTE: 4-Door – Not available with 2.7L Engine)
Roof Rails with Crossbars (NOTE: Requires Hard top...
Yup
Oxford white on my 2002 F-350, works fine, lasts a long time.
Was thinking, if the black top is stupid $$, I could go ahead with the Carbonized Gray, then get some striping down on the hood/sides with the CG to make it look like I planned it that way all along.
I may just "punt" on this whole color thing, go with Oxford White.
It's easy to maintain, get a rattle can or pen at any auto parts store, and doesn't look bad at all with the black top IMHO.
Hey Thanks @Gene Dios
I've been talking up this thread with my dealer, he's been pretty responsive to all my emails so far. He's the "Internet/Fleet Sales Guy" tho, and needs to get buy-in from Sales Manager and Owner. Seems like a reasonable dude, we'll see.
And if not, there's always the...
How many engineers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
One - because we are efficient and have no sense of humor.
(sorry couldn't resist)
But, I like your thought process. In my "motorcycle life" I have always tried to form relationships with good dealers. It pays off for both parties in...
Hey @Gene Dios any movement on this? With the whacky things coming out last couple of days re:X-plan, changing reservations, blah blah. ANY kind of discount is gonna be a "Good-Thing" (TM).
How can I/we help?
No offense intended. I was seriously considering an Elantra before the Bronco announcement. Just to have a car. Zipping around in my F350 is kinda... awkward at times :)
Question on the “limb riser” use case. I saw that explained in on the the Marketing Guy videos. The limb risers were attached to these do-dads and appeared to be secured up top to the roof rack.
What about those of us not interested in a roof rack?
Yea, I caught that. I've been wanting to see videos of short old guys (such as myself) getting in and out of a 'squatch. Looks like he had an easy time of it. That's a good thing.
