I wave as a sign of acknowledgement, acknowledgement that I respect the vehicle next to me for various reasons ie it's a bad *ss old school ride, muscle car, bad *ss truck, jeep etc. I drove a 71' Mach1, 74' Bronco, 86' 5.0, 00' Lightning, 04' Comp Orange Cobra, 11' Raptor and now 2016 Ford...
IMHO I believe this to be the closest render to what the 2021 Bronco may look like, now remember, this render came out a while ago so the mirrors aren't right, the door skin seams may be more squared off than curving like here etc but as far as the tarp teaser this seems to be a pretty good...
@Carmaker1 & @Nickp, as @BroncoMike mentioned above, WE really appreciate all the updates and inside info that is being provided as well as the explanations to the procedures Ford uses during these initial testing phases that only people "on the inside" could explain ie M1s vs VP1s etc...thanks...
Any one out there able to calculate the wheelbase for this latest mule based on possible tire size etc cause I'm with @Nickp, that wheelbase looks really really short, very intriguing though.
@Nickp, I know the FSB isn't happening but IMHO it makes really good sense to offer the FSB simply as the non-SFA optioned, larger/roomier, all around Bronco while the smaller Ranger based Bronco (hopefully SFA equipped) can go directly head to head with the Jeep Wrangler so as to go places that...
On my previous 2011 Raptor crew cab which came with 35 inch tires, I did a front leveling kit and installed 37 inch tires (plus 1 size [next size up available] as the common next size was 37s) on the factory 17 inch wheels. That was on a Raptor and not sure is such a mod will be able to be done...
Lets just wait and see what Ford gives us, if its worthy to the particular customer then purchase away, if not, well, there are other options out there, personally I'm hoping for, and the operative word is hoping, classic first gen-ish body, solid front and rear axles, removable top and doors...
I did not know that, very interesting as I always thought that the window frame on a topless bronco really didn't look right...you learn something new every day!!!
My point is that the Bronco will have the potential to look and be as "aggressive" as any Wrangler offering depending how far you take it, yes those renders are not based on what the Bronco will end up looking like but just showing the other end of the spectrum, a base Wrangler looks pretty...
I think the gen 1 Bronco has GREAT potential, pics I posted are renders, yes, I know, not real but the body lines tend to be very similar to the "tarp teaser", yeah the front end/grill is based on the old 2004 concept but come on, no denying the new upcoming Bronco has potential of some bad-@ssery!
I don't know if people realize that the shadow in the back ground of the pic on the right of the dealer leaked baby Bronco is that of the tarp teaser mid size Bronco placed there for size comparison sake, the mid size doesn't seem to look that small to me...not too big and not too small...
IMHO, I feel Ford has the opportunity to not only compete with the wrangler but to really take it up a notch (a couple notches imo) by Ford offering the 5.0 in the Bronco as I haven't seen anything indicating a V8 is being considered by Jeep at this time. Ford shouldn't settle to match the best...
