  1. Engine failure at 45k miles

Burning through that much oil, and considering you had sludge, which indicates to me a BS entry on oil changes, makes me think your catalytic converter is probably damaged as well. No way it couldn't be with that much oil residue getting send through the exhaust system. That could be a cause for...
  2. Filson is bringing me back to Ford

Ford (and therefore Lincoln) biggest problem is their paint department. Seriously need to make some changes to the color palette offerings. Why they've narrowed the color choices to basically gray, black, white, red and blue, all basic, is a head scratcher to me. GM definitely beats Ford in that...
  3. Wood trim inserts installed

That's actually where I saw them in person the first time, on a Heritage Limited parked next to me. It had brown leather seats and the wood inserts that I bought too. I knew about the inserts, but was on the fence on buying them until I saw that Heritage. I ordered them that same day and have no...
  4. It’s Not Your Truck Anymore?

I can see a future Supreme Court argument that the telematics agreement itself is a violation of the 4th, nullifying the agreement outright. This has truly become ridiculous. Our tech sector is so out of control now it is actually quite scary, and it's all happening right before our eyes with...
  5. Meet Minty, my 2dr on 37's, "Vintage" Build Thread!

First - this has to be one of the coolest 6G Bronco's on here!! Reading through this thread is like a master-class on how to go from Awesome to "Unbelievable"! Nice work on the Bronco and documenting it all! Second - you clearly have the coolest wife on earth to let you get away with spending...
  6. Finally installed soft top- weird gap in trunk?

Can you detach the rear of the ST on both sides, lift it up to the point where you can get to the bolts of the alignment plate, loosen those bolts just enough that the weight of the ST will move the plate into it's natural position, and then tighten them up again? Sorry, I don't know what the...
  7. Filson is bringing me back to Ford

Isn’t that what the Aviator is though, a ā€œLincolnā€ Explorer?
  8. Filson is bringing me back to Ford

Agree 100%. Ford is leaving a lot of money on the table with the color choices now, especially on the interior. Just some wood accents here and there, or bring back the "roast" color scheme. Something to break up all the blacks. The center console area is screaming for a little "churching up"!
  9. Filson is bringing me back to Ford

Agree, and think Ford has led the charge in the nostalgia / retro return for a few other manufactures who have gone down that same road a bit, namely Toyota with the LC. The great part however, is that no Bronco is left behind as they evolve. At their core, they're all very cool regardless of...
  10. Finally installed soft top- weird gap in trunk?

I think you'll need to take it off. I think that bracket with the resting pin needs to be adjusted and leveled, if it can?
  11. Finally installed soft top- weird gap in trunk?

No, that's not right and something is off. Here is mine. Look at that front hinge how it overlaps the plastic trim piece. Yours is sitting above it for some reason, and I think it's in your mounting bracket. Mine is level. Yours appear to be lifting upwards towards the front of the vehicle, not...
  12. Filson is bringing me back to Ford

Same boat for me as well! When I was researching what to replace my Mercedes with, I saw a picture online of a non-sas OBX with white letter KO2's on it and immediately fell in love. Had to have one with every possible option / upgrade I could get without triggering the Sasquatch package. Not...
  13. Ford Patents for ultra-surveillance/data collection in vehicles

You and I both brother!! I’m sick and tired of the overly complicated! So much so that when my wife’s techno bomb on wheels Mercedes decides to give us problems (which it hasn’t for 6 years and 100k miles thankfully), it’s going to be replaced with not a new car, but an old car put through the...
  14. Built Different. For a Reason. -- Joe Burrow Foundation Bronco by RealTruck

Nah, please do share here! Jokes aside, that is a nice bronco for an even nicer reason! Far more important and noteworthy endeavors in this world than my own knuckle-dragging football hobby!
  15. Built Different. For a Reason. -- Joe Burrow Foundation Bronco by RealTruck

That is true, and all good! But if you roll out the Cam Newton / Auburn version next, you'll be dead to me. Already have "kick-six" flashbacks / convulsions whenever I see a Stroppe edition roaming around...
  16. Built Different. For a Reason. -- Joe Burrow Foundation Bronco by RealTruck

As a life-long Alabama fan (long before the great one arrived), I can say with total honesty....that thing sucks!! 😁 RTR
  17. šŸš— Bronco Owners: What Makes the Perfect Car Vacuum Cleaner? (Quick Survey)

PS: I feel as though there is a missed opportunity for a "yur' Momz" joke here....
  18. Anyone else concerned owning this car out of warranty ?

I’m 52 years old. My Bronco is my 20th vehicle in my life. Of the 20, 7 were German with one of them still with me at 100k miles now. If I totalled up the repair bills (not maintenance) of all of them that I incurred outside of warranty, it would be slightly more than the cost to purchase the...
  19. Keep It Like New

I personally wouldn’t mess with PPF on the interior, just take care of it like a normal car is fine. I do have one of those screen protectors on mine, they’re good and do recommend them, but personal choice on that one as I doubt they’ll provide any real protection given the size of that screen...
