You might try just applying sound treatment inside (with polyfil or acoustic foam) of the B&O box and outside (sound deadener) of the box and seeing if you like the results with the stock sub. I did and was pleasantly surprised at the improvement.

Which C2’s did you use, and in which locations?

I might follow your playbook with the Hertz setup, plus a pretty good dose of sound treatment. I wanted to go with JL C2’s, but they have lower sensitivity and I’m not sure the B&O amp will power them well enough. I haven’t seen any confirmation of anyone running them off of the B&O amp.

Were there any issues mounting the kick panel speakers? Crutchfield has the C165’s but there is a note that it doesn’t fit and would be surface mount only. Also, was there a specific reason to get the C165L vs. C165?

Are you running the JL C2’s with an amplifier? I am also curious if anyone is running the C2’s with the B&O amp.

I was also concerned with the clearance of the rear pod grill with the tweeter. Everyone says the JL C1’s push on the grill, and the C2’s mounting height spec is only 2mm lower according to JL’s website.
