Had the same question a while back, the concensus wad 10 Amps. The wires that lead to your fog lights will be marked with AWG and that will tell you what they are rated for. A relay for 7.5 amps is way over kill

Yes, the fuse is always the weakest link.

A relay is for low amp activation of a high amp load. I have the RIGID 3" pods and two of them pull less than 4 amps so as long as your switch circuit is rated higher than your load no need for a relay.

Thank you, that is what I would have guessed also, the owners manual that I have doesn't even show a "fog light" fuse. Anything over 5 amps will work for what I want to do.
