Great looking trailer, when you get some pin striping it will be bright orange, defiantly look cool. š
How did your determine the overall dimensions? Wheel width makes sense, did you then just figure out what was needed to fit your stuff or did you used some existing dimensions from trailers...
I have the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT they are a very good tire, in fact I would say they are my favorite tire for the Bronco. I also have on my work truck Toyo AT 3 which is an excellent tire just a little less aggressive, On my old truck I have the Good Year duratrac tires. Any of those...
I like my ICON coil overs they lift it a couple of inches over the stock Sas height, overall an improvement for off roading. Personally I would not do a leveling kit, basically they allow larger tires but lack all of the other benefits of upgraded coil overs.
On a side note I do have my...
I think you make a good point on the 74Weld rack. I think they consider the internals good enough for the task, but the housing allows for deflection of the linear motion of the screw which causes all of the problems. 74Welds and Bronco Buster products tackle the same problem by trying to...
Thanks for the video, itās great to see the problems on a stock rack. Ford quality at itās finest. I am saving my pennies for a 74Weld rack and based off the mileage of the rack you took apart, I need to feed the piggy bank a little faster.
I think I understand now, you need to remove those studs because you have new (longer?) replacement ones and you are keeping your existing coil overs. Sorry I was being slow!
I did not remove mine when I replaced the coil overs so a little speculation on my end. If you do not have a press...
So far I have not had any problems with the rims, no air leakage, or any other problem. Icon instructs you to put anti-seize on the threads and oil on the O rings for each of the pins. I used silicone grease on the O ring and to much anti-seize. Which then squeezed out when tightened and is a...
I have not had any problems with the stock tires, I just think there are better tires available. I have run many different tires over the years on mostly trucks - Mickey Thompson, Goodyears, Toyo, Nitto, Cooper, Nokias. I find the stock Goodyears not of the same quality as some of these other...
I built a couple of other items for the Bronco, didnāt really cost me anything just time and effort.
A top shelf for the back area, I can store a surprising amount of stuff up there, recovery rope, shackles, air hoses, straps, first aid kit. ( sorry the pictures are not better)
I also made a...
My wife is smart so I never try to fool her I just try and hide it. Just the other day we were driving together and she started to add up the parts, as much as I tried to deflect the conversation she added it up correctly.
28 years of marriage she seems to put up with me.
I have the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT which are almost identical to the MT. For me the AT have the mountain snow flake rating and since I live in high country the little extra snow traction helps. Comparing the Mickey Thompson to the stock tire is night and day you will be very happy with the...
The RCI sliders are frame mounted, I do like them they are well built and also act as a step. I also went with RCI because they are built in Colorado.
My rims are Rebound Proās I also am happy with them. The only negatives are installing all of those pins and the anti-seize needs to be cleaned...
I had the exact same problem, after cleaning and fussing with it over a couple of days I finally just grabbed the pliers and pinched them together very hard. Either I was going to break the clip and replace it or it would work. Fortunately they snapped together for me.
