  1. EDIT: I did something dumb in my Bronco today and really lucked out…Don’t mess with ice!

You stop, get out, and check the surface before proceeding. Unless of course you’re already on it but he had plenty of warning. It’s like going towards a cliff when the sign says ā€œcliff, dangerā€. The idea is to understand the hazard before you proceed and he just decided to stop and press every...
  2. To Soft Top, or Not to Soft Top?

Did you see the Litebrite video where they were driving through a big wind storm? They were holding on to their roof because it was pulling away so much from the vehicle. If you get high temps anything near your head will be radiating heat during the summer. It just isn’t very comfortable. It...
  3. What would I be losing by switching from 2.7 to 2.3 motor?

I understand the meme but it’s inherently stupid. You’re basically saying 90% of the population are women. Check your math on your slide rule and mainframe and get back to me. https://www.thedrive.com/news/33077/manual-transmissions-only-available-on-one-in-eight-new-us-car-models
  4. What would I be losing by switching from 2.7 to 2.3 motor?

That’s hilarious. No one cares if you have a bigger engine. If a Rivian, 4xe, or Hummer EV ever pulled up next to you your foot would suddenly go limp on your macho pedal… My 4xe does laps around tiny wiener drivers of trucks all day long so respect yourself for something other than what you...
  5. What would I be losing by switching from 2.7 to 2.3 motor?

I drove the 2.7 at off roadeo and kept the 2.3 anyway. The 2.7 is definitely torquier and more responsive. If you have the 2.7 already I doubt you will prefer the 2.3 as you do need a bit of a heavier foot with the 2.3 to get the power out of the turbo. On the other hand if your Bronco is your...
  6. What would I be losing by switching from 2.7 to 2.3 motor?

šŸ˜‚ the reality is that the Bronco is meant to be driven slow. If you wanted a fast car there are so many others that make a lot more sense. If I hit 90+ in my Wrangler 4xe my immediate thought is that this thing is NOT meant to be driven like this even if you can.
  7. What would I be losing by switching from 2.7 to 2.3 motor?

It’s all relative. I had an Expedition EL with a 3.5 L ecoboost and while the power was great the engine sounded awful because it had some programming that would run the radiator fan super loud when it was hot and you were idling. So it seems highly likely that either engine could sound terrible...
  8. Dealer vs. Individual - Who controls the reservation?

First off, if you want a Bronco Raptor be prepared to pay well above MSRP. It will be hard to find any dealer willing to sell one of their allocations at MSRP. Having a reservation is almost meaningless when you still need to negotiate the final price with the dealer. Ultimately, once you’ve...
  9. TWO Broncos - which one should we keep?

Sell both and get yourself a Bronco Raptor or Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392. I think they both look hideous with those wheels and I’m surprised at how bad the painted fender flares look (compared to a stock Jeep Wrangler Sahara or High Altitude). šŸ¤” I didn’t think I was a Jeep person until Ford...
  10. The First Edition Bronco WILL go down in US History as the first American vehicle to BEAT THEM AT THEIR OWN GAME LOL! [Auction Pricing Insight]

How much did he spend on mods? Did he add a locker? A lift? Some people might want to spend that cash out of pocket. Others would rather finance it and not deal with that plus the potential warranty invalidation issues. I’m not a big fan of spending tens of thousands out of pocket when it could...
  11. Bronco Raptor Ordering

Are you paying MSRP or an agreed upon ADM?
  12. Bronco Raptor Ordering

Your understanding of the process is flawed. You need to talk to your dealer contact directly and get their pricing. This is the first step as dealers will come up with pricing policies as it relates to markups and you won’t want to order with a dealer that marks it up more than you expect...
  13. šŸ“ø Now See 2022 Bronco Raptor in Velocity Blue & Shadow Black With Painted Fender Flares!

The flares are there so you don’t sling rocks into your paint and windows. The faster you go over rocky terrain the higher the rocks bounce off tires and the ground. I’m sure the fenders are just as easily removed as normal Bronco fenders.
  14. The First Edition Bronco WILL go down in US History as the first American vehicle to BEAT THEM AT THEIR OWN GAME LOL! [Auction Pricing Insight]

The base trim is a terrible car. It is not capable at all without options and the options add up fast. For most it makes sense to get a BD or BB instead of a mildly optioned base. I can see Ford making decent margins on the Base and having fewer supply chain issues with fewer components.
  15. Picked up my wife’s 392 Wrangler. Some comparisons to my First Edition Bronco

The Sahara 4xe is 3 lb lighter than the 392. The Rubicon 4xe is 122 lb heavier than the Sahara I think. It doesn’t seem to affect the ride in any meaningful way. I’ve taken the Sahara on moderate off road trails (in Moab) with the highway tires at full pressure and it drives fine on road and...
  16. Dealership Canceled/Stole My Bronco Order 2 weeks from delivery

this is a bad idea because you want the vehicle you are financing physically available when you contractually obligate yourself to paying for it. If it gets damaged in transit you’ll regret doing it like this.
  17. I have some bad news.

We ended up buying 4 Wrangler 4xe while waiting for our Bronco (for tax credits). Turns out they’re pretty nice, get great mileage, didn’t require a year’s wait to buy one, and have more power. You can joke about it but Ford’s loss of market share is real and there is a Bronco demographic that...
  18. MY 22 lowest VIN - Build week 12-13-21

72893 for 12/13 and a whole lot of no-no options: MIC, tow, roof bars, PPF
  19. Bronco Badlands vs Wrangler Rubicon -- 2 door comparison & tests

Let me save you some time. Jeep wins because you can actually buy one without waiting for a year. That being said, I literally bought a Jeep around the time my Bronco scheduling email was sent and didn’t even notice for 2 weeks.šŸ˜‚šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø
