I went with Area 51 because at least that color doesn't look like every other gray/silver/white/black car on the road today. It's also not "school-bus" yellow like the CO. Considered Velocity Blue, but someone mentioned it just looks like a bud light can and now I can't think of anything...
Transferred my Athens Ford order (MSRP + about $1000 in doc fees and other misc shit) to Granger Ford ($1000 under invoice + about $500 shipping.) After running the numbers I'll come out about $2500 ahead for my trouble. 100% worth it.
Truly this has been my most common build.
But my lizard brain keeps telling me I need the high package or to go Basesquatch and spend 10K in the after market.
Yeah, I considered that but I just can't stand the camo pattern on the interior. That was a non-starter. And if I were to go katzkin on top of that I might as well just stick with my Black Diamond MGV! This is what I'm talking about!
That's a good creed-o to have. And you're right.
I find myself tempted by the Base because it gives me a good bit of cash to use after the fact to make the Bronco exactly what I want. If I went Base, I'd probably get Katzkin leather installed as my "creature comfort" so to speak. This would...
I know I'm not the only one in here that is bouncing back and forth between a bunch of builds, but damn! I'm having a hard time making the final decision!
What I'm sure I'm getting: MIC top, 2.7l, 4 door
What I think I'm getting: Sasquatch
What I can't decide: Base (Velocity Blue), Black...
Shoot, $2000 under invoice gets my order changed today. Lol. Still debating between granger and horsham. Driving from PA is doable, Iowa is significantly farther for me.
Thanks for the input. I figured something similar was likely the case. In all the cars I've ever owned I've also never had an engine just give out on me either. I do plan to own this bronco for 10+ years I think, but definitely something I'll have to weigh. I'm definitely leaning heavily...
