No it's just drawing air from the inside of the tailgate, all the noise is in the compressor outside. You can hear it run in the truck but it's way more quiet than the compressor in the interior.

If it cut into the Bronco sales if would be great if it took away all the people complaining about sof/hard top noise. These weren't convertible people and shouldn't be in Broncos. The Everest is for them... Also, if done properly and marketing, it could be a great alternative to the 4_runner
