  1. We love Broncos but… what’s the most annoying “small issue” with your Bronco?

People have already mentioned the electronic emergency brake. To me it's just a very minor irritation in daily operation. Still, I'd much rather have a positive visual indication that the brake is engaged even when the vehicle is turned off. Also, having a manual emergency brake is something...
  2. What boots or shoes do you wear when wheeling?

Trails often run through pretty rugged terrain, and it's often hard to see ahead much. Out there on the trail you need every edge you can get. That's why I wear these, so when I get out of the Bronco I can see a lot farther up the trail. They also make it effortless to climb into or out of a...
  3. Mountains2Metal's New Flip Down Attic Shelf

The installer for my Armadillo top found that this shelf interferes with the top to the point where they can't both be installed as-is. They had to modify the shelf to make it fit: Post. The modified shelf works well, though.
  4. Photos: my new 2021 Big Bend beside my 1988 Bronco II

Just got back from a two-day road trip. First Bronco I saw was a 1g, and I also saw a Bronco II.
  5. Where did you mount your GMRS Antenna?

For best performance the antenna should be mounted on and electrically linked (NMO mount) to the middle of a metal surface at least as large as 1/2 wavelength, to create a ground plane. That means drilling a hole through the metal surface. Some people don't like that, or can't do it if the...
  6. Armadillo Designs Aluminum Hardtop

Any idea of whether it's safe to run the top through a car wash, at least a brushless one?
  7. Trail Turn Assist - who finds it useful?

Same here at that Off-Rodeo location except we only used it once. My parents had a tongue-in-cheek saying: "If all else fails, read the instructions."
  8. Convince me that the A-Pillar grab handle is useful

I think the problem with retrofitting is the airbags in the A-pillar in previous years. Ford must have rejiggered their location to make room for the handle.
  9. Convince me that the A-Pillar grab handle is useful

I had a Toyota T-100 with A-pillar grab handles and I used them all the time. IMO it's the best place for a grab handle to help you get into a tall 4x4. My wife really missed them on our '25 Bronco, but an overhead handle that hangs down has now made it easy to get in.
  10. What did you drive before your Bronco?

My previous 4x4 was a 1996 Toyota T-100 Xtracab pickup. It had the 3.4-liter V6 gas engine (190hp, 220 ft-lbs) and a 5-speed manual transmission. I bought it new, and owned it from 1995-2023, a few months short of 28 years. Total mileage was about 195,000. . (Photo: Aspendell, Inyo County...
  11. Messed with the 2026 Build & Price… man the colors are boring

Eruption Green is gone as of the '26 model.
  12. Mall Crawler Truth

Physically, it's a fantastic location for outdoor recreation of all kinds: off-roading, boating, fishing, hunting, camping, hiking, backpacking, cross-country skiing, rock climbing, etc. are within an hour or two. Redding is ringed by mountains on three sides. You can see snow (a little or a...
  13. Mall Crawler Truth

One thing I forgot to mention is that even if you live in the less-crowded interior parts of the state, you'll still be competing with people from the large coastal urban areas for public land use. This can be an issue sometimes, one I tend to forget since I'm retired and can go on weekdays.
  14. Mall Crawler Truth

California has very diverse topography, climates, and socioeconomic conditions. A lot can change if you move 100-200 miles in the right or wrong direction. In some ways it's like a sub sandwich but with some changes from one end to the other. If you just slice it into three pieces (north...
  15. Post your snow pics! ❄️ ❄️ ❄️

Today in the Donner Pass-Soda Springs area, Sierra Nevada, California: Unfortunately, snowpack is far below average for the date thanks to an unusually warm winter out west, though incoming storms are helping. Even so, we had a great day trip!
  16. Bronco Sales Up 19.4% in January 2026

There are two questions here. One is the current situation and near future. As I said, I suspect the market for the Mach-e and Lightning might be saturated for now. However, you can't understand the EV market by looking at just two models! Ford's not the only player in town. Overall sales of...
  17. Messed with the 2026 Build & Price… man the colors are boring

I like keeping mine a long time to save $$. I've sold mine at 11 years, almost 12 years, 18 years, and 27 years of age. My T-100 ended up with an amortized purchase price of about $70 a month by the time I sold it. The other two will stay until I stop driving or someone or something totals them.
  18. Messed with the 2026 Build & Price… man the colors are boring

My colors were beige (old car given to my by my parents, in turn bought by them off the lot used as a cheap commuter), medium blue (ordered; looked great with black trim), dark blue (uncommon vehicle off the lot), golden beige (inherited), white (uncommon vehicle off the lot), and Eruption Green...
  19. Bronco Sales Up 19.4% in January 2026

Makes me wonder if the market for these got saturated, at least for the time being. EVs are (mostly) the future for light vehicles, but it's going to be a long road to get there with ups and downs along the way.
