I was surprised to find something similar in mine, after purchase as well, though mine was a wireless variety. It wasn't wired into the ODB2. Found it in a seatback pocket, googled the info on it to discover it was a tracker. I removed it and took it back to the dealer. "oh you found the...
For your usage, even the possible steep gravel driveway, a stock OBX should be fine. You could add any of that stuff for fun, but it wouldn't really be needed for what you describe.
Enjoy!
Yup, you're right, it's that slide on exit that I was afraid of wearing the side bolsters. I've seen a lot of older cars where the drivers left cushion bolster is nearly worn out.
That's basically true. You don't really "need" them just to get in/out, though I don think it makes the process a bit more graceful. I installed a set mostly because it cuts down on wear of the seat cushion side bolsters (especially on exit), and they block some rocks from flinging back up...
Watching this thread as I'm contemplating going with the same tune. If the tune was correctly installed, I would expect for it to at least be noticable. They advertise 355hp and 433ft/lb, which is an increase of 25hp and 18ft/pd. It wouldn't be earth shattering, but I'd expect to notice that...
Great to know, thanks! Just had to replace a flat this time, so wasn't buying a full set. Only at about 10K miles, so I hope it'll be quite some time before I need to replace them all.
Yes, I realized that the ones originally on the Bronco didn't have the "wrangler" text, and that Ford seemed to have their own version from 21-24, but it doesn't appear that the original ford version is available in the original tread pattern anymore.
Thanks, I was afraid of that. I liked the original patter much better looks wise. The new one does look like it may be quieter on road and maybe pick up less stones.
Had a flat a few days ago and had to buy a new tire. By Name, I ordered the same tire as stock, but what showed up is slightly different. However, looking on Tire rack, I no longer see the original tread pattern. Did Goodyear change the territory MT, or both still available? New patter is on...
Does anyone know if Goodyear changed the tread Pattern of the Territory MT, or are there just two different versions? Had a flat a few days ago and replaced it with one I'd hoped would be the same as stock. It's very similar, but different. New on the left below and Old on the right. Checked...
Ford loves to mine their Heritage to produce these kinds of special additions; really just a paint scheme and mark up. Aren't these basically 2 dr Wildtraks?
Current ones are fine but I only have 9K, so they should be.
Had a 2017 Charger Daytona, it needed brakes after only 14K miles. Found out then that it's difficult to find anyone willing to "turn" rotors anymore, they all just want to replace them. Was quoted $1500-$3,000 to replace rotors and...
I bought the Mabett set that had the seatback covers, cargo wall liner, and cargo floor mat. I've had great luck with the seatback covers. They do a good job, and fit well. The liner for the cargo compartment sides fit well, but the glue on the velcro comes loose easily. Had to add another...
Not really a wrong way to get outside, but the sterotypical "Overlanding" Rig has never seemed like the best way to do it for me. It is a great way to add a lot of semi-permanent weight to your rig, and pay RV prices for a tent. But hey, if it gets you out there, and you're having fun, Good on ya!
Wildtrak with "leather" seats (isn't it only the center portion that's actually leather, or is it just the trim?). Not too hot in summer, least with the AC on. They're more comfy than the leather seats in my 20 Gladiator, and are pretty decent overall. Wondering how they'll wear, but at 8K...
24 Wildtrak, 4dr, no real issues with my MIC top. I do find a need to lubricate the gaskets with dry silicone every once in a while, otherwise it can start to make noise over rough roads. Other than that, the hard top has been fine.
Wow, first time in Sport mode at 16K miles? May help if you can post a pic of the leak. There have been a few common leaks that have popped up, but you'll still probably want to visit a dealer to get it resolved. I assume you have a 2.3 L since it's a base? I had a leak on the transfer case...
