Amp also has an app (at least for Apple) that lets you deploy or retract them without needing the override switch. I use the app when I wash my truck so I can clean the top of the steps.
Be careful and don't let it hang on the plastic on the dash or console. I remember reading about someone with a pine tree air freshener hung on the shifter and it ate some of the plastic.
