  1. Dealership may have driven in 4H on pavement

When you turn corners the front and rear wheels are moving at different speeds which causes drivetrain binding
  2. Dealership may have driven in 4H on pavement

4H doesn't actually lock the rear differential. It locks the front wheels to the rear wheels. I think you're right though that some people would mistake 4H for 4A and damage their vehicle
  3. Dealership may have driven in 4H on pavement

I brought my bronco in for the day to get a scratched rear window replaced (shipping damage). When I went to pick it up it was in shifted into 4H. Maybe it got accidentally shifted, but It seems likely that the dealership drove the truck while they had it, in 4H, on pavement. Probably it's...
  4. Cant complain about the MPG

    I'm averaging 19.3mpg over 2100 miles with a BD 2door non-sas v6
  5. Real world 2 door 2.7 MPG

Yeah I'm expecting my MPG to go down as I do more city start stop driving. Currently averaging 19.3 overall in the last 900 miles but that's probably 70%+ highway commuting.
  6. Real world 2 door 2.7 MPG

Lol ok man 😂😂. I stand by what I said. I wasn't "trying really hard" to get good mileage, as evidence by my detailed trip report. I was trying to give others on this forum a good data point backed up with real world details. I'm sorry my experience doesn't match perfectly with how you think...
  7. Real world 2 door 2.7 MPG

Not sure how this is "trying really hard". This is a pretty standard drive to the mountains and back for me. In fact I'd say the conditions weren't that great for getting good fuel economy. Heavy wind, lots of hills, snow, multiple stops, etc. Also had a passenger, and gear in the back.
  8. Real world 2 door 2.7 MPG

Oh yeah, and this was on 87 octane.
  9. Real world 2 door 2.7 MPG

Just got home from my first longish trip in my 2door non-sas BD 2.7. Traveled 252 miles round trip with 90% hilly interstate driving through the white mountains at cruise controlled 70mph, and 10% snowy back roads at probably 30mph average. Stopped probably 5-6 times on the trip. Half of the...
  10. Ice between roof panels causes creaking

So I noticed an annoying feature on my mic hardtop. When it snows and then melts, water gets into the seal between panels and at night that water freezes. Then the next day when you drive the panels flex and the ice creaks really loud for a long time.
  11. First snow drive

2H. No 4A on my bronc
  12. Drop a Picture of Your Bronco for a Rating

    Gotta love the green
  13. First snow drive

Not trying to prove any point. I just don't feel like I need 4H unless I'm having traction issues. With advanced traction and stability control there's really not much advantage to turning on 4H unless you are trying to get up a steep hill and are unable to find traction. Typically people get...
  14. Somehow got the tow package for free

Yep exactly. My order sheet shows exactly the cost of the tow package I removed less than the window sticker.
  15. Somehow got the tow package for free

I had the tow package originally on my order, them I removed it to try to get ahead in line and resigned the new, reduced price purchase agreement prior to order lock. Fast forward a few months to delivery and come to find out my bronco has the tow package installed even though I didn't pay for...
  16. 🚨 Bronco leads police on chase in Cripple Creek Colorado

Lol I love how he is pulling into a gas station. Probably had to stop for gas after a couple miles hauling ass away from the cops in that thirsty boy.
  17. First snow drive

First snow drive in the 2door BD 2.7 non-sas. This thing handles exceptionally well in the snow. Really good traction and stability. Never even took it out of 2Hi.
  18. It's finally here

Update: looks like Ford won't cover the sill scratches. So the dealership is giving $1k more for the trade in + a rear window replacement. Seems fair enough.
  19. It's finally here

    I got the 2.7 so it's the 10spd
  20. It's finally here

Yeah really irritating honestly. I think they will have to replace the top rear panel on the top and the window at a minimum. Likely they will paint the door sill scratches I imagine. We shall see.
