1986 Bronco: No cracks, no delaminations, no ripples (kind of a a sand in the mix texture) but I did wax the hardtop (no, seriously, I did) back in 1986 and it did get swirl marks in the finish and ultimately it did fade. Midwest winter and summer tested with no structure issues. Drilled a...
Becuase I am no help at all, on a complete tangent (while looking for random VINs), this is going to be an interesting project for $12,880:
Used 2023 Ford Bronco 4-Door w/ Sasquatch Package for sale in Miami, FL 33142: Sport Utility Details - 728793858 - Autotrader
That first link still works, I just replaced the VIN in the original address with another and it brings up the Monroney.
Note: I tried it with a 24 and it worked, tried it with a random 22 and it did not. YMMV
Also, I have not seen a lot of the new top floating around the internet and I know that some Wildtrack owners on this forum just got theirs with the painted black top. They need to chime in with some detailed pictures for us.
I'm still waiting to meet someone with a perfect top. I hear they exist but have never seen one in-person.
Now that the painted black top has made it's way to the public, Ford should pony up and have this be their replacement for the MIC. From the inside, it looks like the painted black top...
Just finished the install. It's hard to explain how it feels instead of the plastic one. Kind of like a metal knob on a high end stereo compared to a plastic one on an Amazon no-name.
I hate to admit it, but I fidget with the lockout a bit while driving/sitting in traffic. Not enought to...
Machining is exquisite, great job.
I thought it was going to be raw aluminum when I purchased, I like the contrast of the original just hate the plastic.
Since the anodizing is a bit fubar'd and I was looking for the contrast anyways, what do you think about taking some oven cleaner to it?
I...
Beautiful piece. Machining is top notch. Very well done. Packaging was perfect, could have shipped an egg in that box. These guys are not messing around.
I would skip the anodizing though...almost looks like someone hit it with a Sharpie after the fact.
Anything to get rid of that seam on...
I'm sorry the Bronco did not work out but I have gotten rid of cars in the past becuase of safety issues for my family and understand completely. Myself (and apparently the general public), I could care less about and have driven the sketchiest things for the longest periods of time. I seem to...
Nobody posted a picture, so here you go:
Ignore the legal pad, I'm hiding a wiring project...
Edit: Noco Genius 2. Wait until Thanksgiving or Amazon Prime days, price will cut in half. It is not powerful but it is a good size, sealed well, and if using the right cables makes it easy to...
It's been a little over a week and we finally got some windows down weather. So... this is all circumstantial, BUT:
1. The turbo spooling IS louder with the windows down. Noticeably louder. Windows up there is no noticeable difference.
2. This one is weird and I really took some time to...
I've overlooked quite a bit. Box of rocks manual, scratchy interior, missing pieces I added after purchase, aluminum corrosion through paint on the doors, rattly windows, squeaky interior... but I oddly still like it. The other issues kind of blend together and disappear in the background but...
Also, update on mine. Still failing. Just getting better at failing. More cracks, all around the window and roof rack (I do not have one) mount points now. Area behind the passenger window has spread. Right around 4,400 miles on the odometer. Spent a couple months in Colorado at 9,000 feet...
Well...
K&N disposables are $20 and good for 18,000 so I can buy 4 for the cost of the Mishimoto, be good for 72,000 and not question if the Mishimoto air filter frame has degraded with 72,000 miles worth of heat cycles and scheduled cleanings.
I would also have to purchase an in-between...
