Awesome! Will be watching.
My build has gone pretty similar. Ordered my SAS OBX in Oct ā21, built April ā22. Velocity blue, roast but cloth and soft top because in Arizona and keep the top off most of the year. Leather gets too hot and cracked and dry, and MGV burns the skin. 2.7L, modular...
I think Ford assumed OBX would target the more interior and exterior luxury, non-off-road buyers. But when they removed some of the options that made Wildtrak unique, many of us realized an optioned up OBX with SAS (add modular bumper, 2.7L, high or lux package, aux switches basically) gave us a...
Donāt ruin a SAS on 35ā with more lift. Itās lifted just as much as it should be for optimum performance. Spend the money somewhere else. Just my opinion.
My SAS OBX has been stuck right at 16.3 MPG for a few months, and thatās averaged since it arrived in May. Drive mostly city, short trips, but also a few California Big Bear Lake and Flagstaff/Sedona trips with some off-road. Mostly drive in Normal or Sport.
A whole bunch of us Velocity Blues around Chandler and Tempe. I saw someone with their soft top down turning at Price and Warner last week. VB looks so good in AZ sunshine! Iām in Tempe near Warner/Rural.
If you have one, look into borrowing from your whole life insurance policy. Earn a dividend on your borrowed money while you pay yourself back. I was early enough to get a 2.5% PenFed loan for the difference between MSRP and the trade in of my 2017, 90,000 mile 4Runner (and they gave me what I...
Weāve done a few and itās been great, though it does go through gas like any vehicle itās size. But it was much more comfortable than our previous 4Runner with better gas mileage even though we have SAS.
Hey all, 6 days from my original order date and saw a few comments on the thread so thought Iād post. Iāve had mine since end of April, zero issues, daily driver plus some fun on trails around AZ and Cali, and some family trips up to Big Bear, L.A., San Diego, Flagstaff, etc.
I LOVE this thing...
Has anyone done the Trans-America Trail yet? My brother and I hope to attempt it summer of 2023, but itās looking like he wonāt have his truck yet.
There is nothing wrong with the free market here. No one deserves any luxury item.
Edit: and by luxury I mean something not needed, but wanted, not luxury vehicle.
Iām gonna say no, because no vehicles do well in a wash with brushes. Take this from a former porter at a car dealership who ran thousands of cars through them.
