Lol. Day late and a dollar short!
(I do like the “clicking” as an indication it’s not fully engaged/secured… though I’m not sure it’s so much engineered to do that as he states, as much as it was a happy accident)
You were able to choose your dealer at time of reservation. The website tries hard to select your local dealer, but it’s editable.
Additionally, Ford told reservation holders to negotiate and agree on the price before placing the actual order… of course, this was still during the time before...
And if you’re asking about the whole hardtop, or rear clamshell, if you take it off you can carry it on the bronco with you, it just gets bolted to the top and kind of acts like a roof…
…oh wait.
While I’m stuck purchasing my ordered bronco from a single dealer, I still had an incredible amount of leverage.
I was both able to select the dealership I wanted to reserve with, and also transfer my reservation to another dealer if they changed their tune once I reserved.
I had all the...
Oh. I see what’s happening.
I’m not with Granger. You’re confusing me with someone else who’s username rhymes with mine.
You and I agree that the situation described in the OP is slimy and indefensible.
(i was merely making the point that FoMoCo is doing what they can, which is to lock in...
They can’t “require” it since dealerships are separate independent companies… but Ford did explicitly tell people to negotiate and agree on a price before placing their order… probably because they anticipated these types of dealer shenanigans.
You’re confusing my statement that Ford locking in MSRP is indeed helpful to buyers, with me saying what this dealer did is okay… which is not what I’m saying.
Your OB comes with +55 offset wheels… the widest tire that Ford sells on the +55 offset are 285s (the 285/70r17 on the BL).
There is already reports of people putting 315 width on +55 wheels without issue… but thats via a FB/IG post.
I’d say you’re absolutely safe doing up to 285 width since...
I find that their videos come across as if they started with the conclusion they want and then wrote the video around that.
This could 100% just be their presentation style… since the purpose of good scripting is to basically do exactly that, but for me it comes across as a biased review...
It helps me and means everything since I negotiated a price based on Invoice (which for this purpose behaves the same as MSRP).
Since Ford isn’t changing their price, my price doesn’t change either.
If you or anyone else didn’t negotiate a price based on that, and just came to some random...
MSRP won’t change from MY21 to MY22… MSRP has nothing to do with what a dealership sells a vehicle for… the “S” is doing a ton of heavy lifting.
As already pointed out, Ford is locking in the price they are *suggesting* the dealer sell for (MSRP), but being independent businesses, the dealership can decide whatever they want.
This is why it’s important to negotiate/agree on a price that is based on MSRP or invoice… so your price is...
Well…. No.
You can only transfer your reservation to an immediate family member.
Your dealer could offer you money to “abandon” your order, which would leave it free from them to sell to someone else (against their name-mismatch penalties)…
…or they could straight up “purchase” it from you...
Ya don’t say?!

;)
(thanks for sharing the video, doesn’t look like they did in their thread)
Those questions you’re referring to is whether or not you can take the rear clamshell portion off but leave the fronts on… that’s what Ford says is okay only at low speed.
But it is 100% designed to remove just the fronts, or the front and the middle (on the 4 door), or everything. That’s good...
Not sure if the Ford roof rack would work with the sunrider. The question is whether there is enough clearance to flip it back with the rack in place… I suspect not.
As far as the front roof panels… YES. The whole point is that you can easily take off the front two panels for quick sunroof...
If all you want is the stance, then yes, it will be cheaper to do it yourself.
But the Sas is more than just wheels, tires, and lift… so you have to weigh if you want any of the other things (including different diff gearing, wider flares, upgraded axle…) or the additional capabilities (longer...
Picatinny rail has always been attached just in the middle.
The very early prototypes showed two screws in the middle… but if you looked close you could see they were fake and the whole thing was likely just a sculpted prototyped.
Also of note, we’ve actually seen two different lengths of...
