Does anyone know where to source the OEM third brake light harness connectors inside the tailgate? I want to build a custom harness that will utilize the third brake light but I refuse to cut or splice the factory wiring. I want to make an inline pigtail.

I have noticed the same on my 24 Wikdtrak. I believe the newer vehicles use smart charging. By controlling the charging supply vs draw demand they can cycle the load on the belt driven side and reduce drag or parasitic loss. I’m sure someone will post a very technical explanation.

I did the install using the parts listed. Everything worked without any errors. I was very OCD about the wire routing. Keeping it tucked up out of the way. I’ll snap a few pics in the morning.

I found it easier to remove the drivers tire and fender liner. So much room for activities.
