If I was driving in Baja mode or at higher speeds off-road, I would find it quite distracting especially with a 12 inch display on the dash. However, if I was on an incline and couldn’t see over the hood of the car I think it would be very useful.

It was extremely easy. I don’t think a kid would have any issues with it at all. The only one I can see is the bronco is quite tall and they might have trouble reaching it depending on their age, but it’s very easy to pull back and get in the backseat.
