Had same experience with doors off 🤦♂️ , Bronco is currently at dealership for other issues as well but reported these to them to make sure they get added to the things they are working with engineers on.
It is at the dealership right now, Ford has taken notice for sure and have engineers involved. Not sure what they will find, the codes and everything have already been sent to Fords analytics team, so really not expecting a reason or solution for what happened other than we will continue to...
Yes, I have had similar, I turned on accessory power earlier today to look at miles, and got a parking brake one ( parking brake was not set. ) and have had quite a few over past couple weeks, about twice as many during times the doors are off, that seems to really confuse the computers.
Wow, thats even worse than what happened with mine, I had similar fault but at least it didn't leave me on side of the road. Sorry to hear you had that experience.
Rock chips are going to be a constant struggle with these, I had same issue with my FJ Cruiser, luckily these are being built now and there should be plenty replacements made available so it wont be too much of a pain to get them replaced.
When the road team brought the Broncos to the local...
I have same size wheels and tires on order waiting to get here, but have Black Diamond so got the 4WP level lift to help fit them, seeing your pics has gotten me more excited about getting it all on.
Nice mine just arrived today too. They are a bit pricey compared to others but they were actually available , and it includes the modified crash bars which I like, instead of just removing them completely.
If you are driving in normal mode you can activate 4H 4L, or lock the locker independently of the goat modes, which is good, when goat mode kicked me out of Mud mode it switched back to normal and I was able to still put it into 4L lock the locker and get out of there.
I imagine the same would...
Yeah, I think you have to be perfectly aligned and it will no problem, like you mentioned when it didn't could probably creep a bit to get it aligned and do the thing, or shift to Neutral and call it good.
Thanks all for the suggestions and thoughts, turns out it was rear wheel speed sensor that got the signal it didn't like that caused this.
Why would an off road mode not expect some wheel spin? No idea and it's something that is being looked into further with help of dealership and Ford...
Posted new update video.
Rear wheel speed sensor got a signal it didn't like when wheels spun. So it disabled goat mode.
Should wheels spinning confuse something meant for off-roading? I would think not but its being looked into by Ford techs.
Good point, and I already have Forscan and cable. besides tried to do the trial and error method and was a lot harder to stop the Bronco from moving than expected. It just climbed over any chocks I could find :ROFLMAO:
Yup
Your vehicle requires a break-in period. For the first 1,000 mi (1,600 km), avoid driving at high speeds, heavy braking, aggressive shifting or using your vehicle to tow. During this time, your vehicle may exhibit some unusual driving characteristics.
