The NOCO Genius 2D just has a standard 2 prong electrical outlet connection. I just got a 2' - 2 wire standard extension cord to route down to the bumper and exit there somewhere.
I've just been popping the hood and plugging it in directly. I did buy a 2' extension cord so that I could connect it without having to open the hood, but I haven't figured out the best place for it to exit yet.
Added an IAG mini bull bar (thanks scratch and dent clearance) and some diode dynamics lights I bought last year black Friday. Hooked up via the factory fog wiring and added the factory fog headlight switch with forscan updates to enable.
What's crazy to me is that if you had a 24 and had the top cracked, it probably cost you more money selling it and buying a 25 than one of the aftermarket hardtops costs. Not sure about anyone else, but the taxes alone for me would be more than just buying an aftermarket top. And frankly, you...
The timing chain tensioner wasn't even close to being maxed out, and the chain itself wasn't even half a link elongated. It was just a straight up phaser failure unfortunately.
I have an 07 with ~194k on the clock right now. I've owned it since 2010 and have only ever used Mobile 1 5w-30 in it with 5k oil changes. The timing chain was rattling so hard that it was causing metal to shed off of the cam phaser gear teeth. This was the state of the valvetrain, timing, and...
I've really been contemplating putting the Valvoline restore and protect into a rotation ever few oil changes. Also I am strongly considering running this in my 200k mile FJ to get the insides cleaned up. I recently had to change the cam phasers in the FJ (yea not just Fords have phaser...
Thanks. Still super frustrating because I took it in a couple of weeks ago and they told me they'd order the parts for the shocks and camera and called me saying that everything was ready to go for today. I guess that's on me for not asking that they actually had all the parts.
Took mine in to get the shock recall and camera replacement recall done this morning. I got told by the service advisor that the rearview camera parts were put on a "Parts Hold" by Ford. I have now wasted 2 trips to the dealer to try to get this repaired. @Ducati1098 do you know if this is...
I've provided the SSM numbers and offered to show them in the parking lot. It all falls on deaf ears for the 2 dealers I have already contacted that are close to me.
My issue is that the dealers I have contacted want the vehicle for multiple days to replicate the issue. Then once the issue has been replicated they will order the parts, and I'll have to come back to get it replaced. To me it just doesn't seem worth all the hassle for a part I can get for...
Really appreciate it! Right now looks like ~$54 from an online ford dealer. For this price, it's not worth the brain damage of trying to get this repaired through the dealer. Thank you!
@Ducati1098 If you have a moment, would you mind confirming the replacement part number(s) for this SSM? I see 13K359, but that feels like only a partial part number. I have had a less than desirable experience trying to get this repaired at the dealer, and as long as it's not ridiculously...
