According to the shop manual they say to remove the filter housing first before draining the oil. Also I noticed in your original post you stated that you tilted the vehicle to the passenger side. I would refrain from tilting the vehicle and do oil changes on level ground. I pulled my filter...
It's confusing because everyone seems to have a different quantity removed. Also your truck wasn't overfilled from the factory. They purposely put in 7.5qts on the initial fill. Also they say that the engine oil consumption will reach normal level after 5,000km
This whole oil change debate confuses me. I did my initial oil change and got roughly 7.4qts out. How long did you let the oil drain for? Did you remove the filter housing before removing the drain plug?
@KillerKwall Someone priced out adding the SAS gearing and everything after the fact and it was quite pricey and then add in the labor to install gears lol
On my vehicle with AUX there is 4 buttons near the domes lights. The forward most right button disables the dome lights when a door is open. Refer to the image below, I have circled the button
Running straight to the battery would mean they would be on all the time. You would want to tap into the DRL circuit or parking light circuit so they turn on when either of those turn on.
Mine was delivered to the dealer and the tracker didn't even update until later in the day, was stuck on built. Granted my dealer is about 20 minutes from MAP
