I just received the top. I noticed it’s mentioned that two M4(3/16) holes that need drilling. I believe it should be 5/32 as 3/16 is too big and won’t go through pre drilled holes. Here’s a picture with the 5/32 bit fitted.
5/32 bit is perfect.
To be honest I didn't check that. One thing that did stand out was that it was very difficult to try and get the top latched down on the passenger side. I almost needed a second person to pull the top down while latching it and vise versa to unlatch it. Again, I think my problem was the door...
This will be an easy DIY task. Buy a small sheet of (charcoal gray carbon fiber, my choice) vinyl wrap for approx. $9-$10 and a few minutes of time. Or, spray with plastic dip.
Interesting that they are on backorder. I went to their website and that didn't appear for the 4-door. They're pretty good about locating a set and getting them to you quickly. When I bought mine the same thing happened but within a couple of days I get a shipping notification. Good luck and...
Not much different than those willing to forgo their specific build and get something less appealing just to to get their Bronco now. Supply and demand works
I don't own a Wrangler, and the metal rail that attaches to the Sunrider top bracket was crooked, so the bolt holes don't match up. This causes the top not to lay correctly. No tape or stripping is going to fix this problem.
I purchased one for my 4-door and it was easy to install, but I received loud wind noise and rain inside on the passenger side. I removed it and reinstalled it and no change. I eventually had to return it. The only thing I could see that might have caused this it that the passenger side rail...
I had originally signed up with Covert back in July 2020 for the Bronco. When it came time to place the order, I waited 5 days for them to submit it, and they had never had saying they're too busy. I then went with Mac Haik in G'twn and everything went smooth thereafter(except for the hardtop...
Why buy the extended warranty now vs waiting until the current warranty is almost over and then buy it(3-36k and 5-60k power train)? You may not even own it by then plus you're not really getting the full extended warranty length as the current warranty is in effect in the beginning. I can...
Interesting. I thought it was just for those that have the soft top. So, are there any modifications or any leaks when the hard top is on? Would you mind displaying a picture please? Thank you.
Update: I did see in the installation instructions that they do show how to attach it on a 4-door HT.
Just an FYI, I've tried here in Austin and most don't want to touch it(labor only) because of the risk of messing up and don't have a backup. One wanted $800 just to install "hockey stick" stripes. Your best bet is to find someone who sells and installs or just do it yourself. Good luck.
