  1. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

BCE just populated for me. Blend date 3/15, 141/1085 rotation.
  2. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

Please add me to day 3/15.
  3. Why no Ford 2.3 Tune Yet?

I know, but if I'm planning on getting a tune anyways, I'd rather not have to get another handheld device/harness and play with hex codes.
  4. Why no Ford 2.3 Tune Yet?

I would prefer a flash tune, like 5Star's for the 2.7L. At least I can turn off auto start/stop and change final drive/tire size as well flashing the tune in one go.
  5. 🛠 3/14/22 Build Week Group

My window sticker just showed up this morning, was given a 3/17 build date but I guess I'm 3/15 according to this.
  6. Turbosmart Kompact Dual Port Blow Off Valve Installed on our First Edition!! Install, Review and Sound Clips Inside****

Just for sound. Maybe help boost leak in the future if you do decide to tune and raise the boost.
  7. Tamiya releasing a 1/10 RC 2 Door Bronco

We should be able to purchase the Tamiya body itself and use it on the Traxxas TRX-4 chassis with the short wheelbase conversion kit.
  8. Adding Factory 7-way to First Edition

I've done a lot of research on this myself as well, and the only way you're getting that 'factory integration' of the 4/7 pin harness is to get that towing package from the factory. I ended up dropping the towing package altogether from my order to get it scheduled sooner than later; I'll add...
  9. Can anyone help with the history on the 2.3L engine? (what other Fords use it and what years they started?)

^ To add to @ChetC 's reply, there are also variations of the current 2.3L Ecoboost engines as well, specifically between the Ford Mustang, Focus RS and the Ranger/Bronco: The Bronco gets the Ranger variant of the 2.3L Ecoboost...
  10. Price Gouging @ Westway Ford Irving Texas

I wish you the best of luck. The Tomes dealers are really bad about playing the numbers games. I was looking to get a 2020 GT 350 from them six months ago, and they wanted to add an extra $1000 for bringing in my own financing and $2500 on top for the VIN etching and some other nonsense. The...
  11. Jeep and 4runner is a No Go

I had the Toyota dealer put in an 'order' for mine since February for a Voodoo Blue, Access Cab 4x4 TRD Sport with the manual, and it showed up early June. At the time it came in, the dealer had zero brand new Tacomas on the lot and told me they had four calls for it since it was auto-listed on...
  12. DFW Area - Ford Dealership recommendations

No, this was for a 2019 GT 350 I bought from them a while back. I've got a pretty goofy build (Basically a fully loaded 2 door Badlands with the 2.3L/7 speed manual), so I'm not expecting it for quite a while.
  13. DFW Area - Ford Dealership recommendations

Can be a good experience if you watch the numbers. They've tried sliding in 'options' on a used vehicle I was looking at like Windows tint/etching for $800, and I walked with the sales guy back out to the car for him to show me where these options are on the car. They wised up and removed the...
  14. 2.3L Big Bend MPG after 784 miles: 20-25 MPG

What's your driving norm? ie. 40/60 City/Highway, 70-75 MPH highway speed, shifting below 2000 RPM, etc. If the computer guess-o-meter isn't far off, 20-25 MPG is pretty good for a brick like the Bronco.
  15. Mach-E driver's panicked search stops four times on 200-mile trip looking for charging station

Those Mach-E's average 3.1-3.3 miles/kwH. At 23%, it's still got at least 70 miles of range left in it and I have a hard time believing he can't find a charger in that region with that much range left.
  16. 0-60 mph test for 2.3L Bronco with 7-speed manual by TFL

Launching it at about 2500-3000 RPM instead of punching it from a standstill should knock off half- to a full second off the 0-60 time too; the turbo(s) need to be spooled up.
  17. Nissan Pathfinder

This isn't the Pathfinder some of us remembered from the '90s. This new one, even though it does away with the CVT, is still a front wheel drive based unibody platform. No thanks.
