Thanks for the honest assessment. Gonna want a solid 3" lift. Was hoping these were more robust than they are. While I'm not looking to go out and beat on my rig unnecessarily, I do want/need suspension (like Icon, King or Fox) that will hold up on the 1-2X/Mo that I'll be hitting SoCal...
What are your thoughts on the capabilities of these coilovers. Are the extra heavy springs necessary of you plan to run a winch bumper (like the Icon) or a winch skid (like the Lobo or RC).
I didn't realize there is a heavier spring rate option?...or do the heavier springs have to purchases separately? I hadn't looked that closely yet, but when I did look at this coil over set, I could only see one part#. Is there a heavier option?
Please post some pics when you complete. Would love to see this combo. I'm interested to see what the 37 x 11.5 Recon look like in general. Saves some weight too.
Absolutely true. Everything here on the left-coast is so over priced at the stealerships. Easily 10K-20K depending on make/model. What gets me is the stealerships that are selling base models with larger wheel/tire packages for $50K+
Dropped the SAS and got scheduled! From the looks of things, it might have been scheduled anyway (based on all the SAS builds). SO Stoked non-the-less...and now I've got an extra $4K for suspension upgrades since I was gonna scrap the SAS bits anyway. Congrats to all.
I wasn't going to go there, BUT...And I've not been one to complain about ANY of this (until now). IF there was something as cool or capable on the market right now, I would probably stray. I'm a 3/21 reservation, 5/21 order maker, as if that means any thing. There are people on this forum...
Removed the SAS from my BL today and went with a mid-package. I'm keeping the hard top! ($2500 be damned). The ADV hard top is around $6K to $7K. I guess I'm not that desperate...yet. Hoping to squeek my build in yr 23'. 🤞🤞
JUST....WOW!! Thanks for posting all about your trip...and the photos?...geez, I have to go back and look at them all AGAIN! Great adventure. Lots of great places to go and good people everywhere! Cheers.
Appreciate the heads up. Like others, I'm still waiting for my Bronco (since March of 2021). The Fun Haver Bronco was one of the first to come out with hardcore offroad bits that I liked. I've got time...looking forward to see what y'all bring to the table. Cheers.
