Just hasn’t been my experience with my 2011 F-150. I don’t mean to say a spring pops it up as soon as it unlatches. Just that, in my F-150, there is at least a little tension on the lid hinge so that it doesn’t just swing freely up and down with no resistance. Not a life altering issue but...

Interesting. Haven’t had mine out at all but will check to see that it is seated properly. Mine only stays up with I put it in the exactly vertical position. If even slightly off, it comes slamming down.

My 11 year old F-150 has a spring. A $60K vehicle should have a 10 cent spring.

Is mine the only center console lid that seems to have absolutely NO spring resistance to help keep it open? Mine pretty much slams back down unless I hold it open. Anybody else have this?

Your video on the install was great! Just got my Ford performance version. Mine didn't come with the bolts, or the washers, for mounting the brackets to the Bronco. Any idea what the specs are on the correct bolt? The Ford Performance instruction sheet just lists it as "bolt".
