this is a valid scenario. My comment on no one doing long term with 3% interest was on how much extra you're paying over time. If dealers are offering 0% interest, then I agree.
While I am annoyed by lack of x plan, I'm more annoyed by the excuse Ford went with. It's not a limited run. Just say "first year new model" or something. Land Rover has partner pricing too but they do not allow it to be applied to the new defender because its the vehicles first year (they also...
Saving a grand isn’t that big a deal to me. It’s the inconsistency and poor communication that is turning me off not just to bronco but ford brand. Never owned a ford. This could be a way to attract new customers for ford not just for bronco but for future ford vehicles. this was just a terrible...
Let’s not kid ourselves. The weight of the new defender means you’ll want to upgrade powertrain if you plan to do any off roading or overlanding that constantly takes you up big mountains. And that engine upgrade? $13,000

They're basing it on estimates. So I think they are saying "we think we can only produce x amount by end of MY21 and we have y amount of reservations so difference is MY22
Although if this "no x plan" bs is for real I have a feeling that MY22 holders will get catapulted to MY21
If you want a larger engine in a bronco it's $3500. If you want the larger engine in the defender, it's $13,000. That reason alone is why I ditched plans for a defender and reserved a bronco.
In a perfect world, I'd have a nice high powered V8 in a 2014 defender double cab with short bed like...
