YES I also delayed a trip home by 2 days and drove 2.5 hours each way to see it. Also got to meet up with @Hobgoblin and @GiddyUp for a group pic of the Georgia Bronco group who are getting ours from Granger.

I think they developed these solid side panels to strengthen the hard top for the tent above. Aka necessary for the overland concept. By adding these they may have improved the load rating of the roof rails. Note that the mounting point for the rails is above this panel front and back..
