DOH..! I'll have to dig up the article but I think you're right. It did mention factory badges add 10 BIG FOOT pounds of torque. How could I forget?
I've been interested for 3 years now. As we get closer and closer, I just get more and more excited. Just this week, my wife started asking me questions about "this vehicle" and "why this Bronco" and it's been great fuel to re-fire my passion for this thing. She is now on board (although still...
I'd like a Sasquatch badge. But like all vehicles I've owned, I'll probably end up taking off all the badging at some point and they'll end up in a Ziploc bag in some drawer.
So far there'd be the following badges:
- Ford (minimum of 2)
- Bronco (these will be EVERYWHERE)
- WildTrak (or...
I'd love to be able to tow my GTI to the track. Not worried about the motorcycles as those barely weigh anything but the GTI at around 3100 lbs. would be amazing. Going with a 4-door WildTrak (as of 9/6/20 @ 3:45pm lol)
Pretty sure they're just settings that control the TC, ABS, Suspension, throttle input, steering, etc, to get all the electronics to not wig out from the various types of traction needed. Would be interested on more description as well for what specifically each mode does.
Reserved a 2-door but am 100% now getting a 4-door. Mainly for the extra room and convenience. It's just me and the wife currently but we have plans to add a pup real soon. Also, our 2-door GTI holds a lot of shit but it's just a burden to get it in and out. So 4-door it is!
This is pretty sweet! Loving reading stuff like this! Never imagined there would be off-road schools. Should have figured since I've taken so many classes for motorcycles. Fun times ahead.
Wherever I purchase from, I will request that they DO NOT drill the front plate bracket on. Just hand it to me and I will do this myself. I can't stand dealership drilled holes on a brand new bumper.
I'm buying because this is the only vehicle I think can survive Brooklyn's amazing roads.
Also for weekend camping trips.
Also will use to pull my Ducati to/from the track.
Built in trail maps would be nice to try out a couple times a year as well.
Leaning towards a 4-door WildTrak (as of...
