  1. What are the Wrangler Forums saying about Bronco?

Why does it matter? Why do so many people, both on this forum and in Jeep forums, have to declare their vehicle better (and therefore themselves)? Seems to me we should focus more on what we have in common--like enjoying an open air ride, whether it's to the mall or on a gnarly trail a thousand...
  2. 2021 Bronco 2-Door Cargo Area Dimensions + Storage Bins Dimensions (Measurements)

Did you draw this in AutoCAD by chance? If so, can you upload the file? This is great and I'll put it to great use. Thanks!
  3. Theft Prevention...

Those switches will be the first they try, when they can't start it. Now if you had to switch 3 or more on in a certain order--that might work.
  4. Black Diamond 32's vs 33's. How much of a difference?

First, a disclaimer. My table may contain errors, but I’m pretty certain that the stock BD General ATx is a LT. There is a difference between passenger (P) tires and light truck (LT), even though the P (standard load rating, SL) and LT ā€œCā€ loading are comparable. LT tires are built to withstand...
  5. Black Diamond 32's vs 33's. How much of a difference?

That was cool. So the difference in weight could be things like the rubber compound, side wall tread, wall thickness etc. Things not necessarily linked to load rating. Thanks for sharing that.
  6. Black Diamond 32's vs 33's. How much of a difference?

I would think that too, but I don’t know enough about tire construction to answer that.
  7. Black Diamond 32's vs 33's. How much of a difference?

I'm all in on a 2-Door BD. The General ATx is a really good tire, but I want something more aggressive and taller. Where as the 2-door looks decent with 32s, I think it will look perfect with 33s. If you're getting a 4 -door, I'd definitely up size the tires. I've done a lot reading on this...
  8. Well, I bought a JeepšŸ˜†

You mean like the Bronco manual transmission?
  9. No BD at KOH seems to be a good marketing tool.

I can't argue with the benefit of a warranty, at least as long as it lasts. BTW, what will be the warranty? However, I disagree with your other points. Most aftermarket suspensions are also engineered by really smart people. Factory builds are compromises between performance, durability and...
  10. No BD at KOH seems to be a good marketing tool.

Sounds like you know what you want, and it makes sense too. The BL looks to be a very capable 4x4 right out of the box. As for me, I enjoy ā€œbuildingā€ my 4x4s, often doing a lot of the work myself. This Bronco is going to be fun on many levels.
  11. No BD at KOH seems to be a good marketing tool.

Likewise, all the BL video and raving at KOH had me seriously thinking about changing my order, but.,,, I’m doubling down on Black Diamond. I really think a BD will do everything I’ll want it to and then some. I’m already planning to drop a grand on Bilstein Position Sensitive shocks and...
  12. Bronco engineered to beat Wrangler's VCI (traversing soft terrain) according to member on Wranglerforums

That's good info and food for thought. My Bronco will be a daily driver too. This is my apocalypse vehicle. A 1977 Dodge M880, upgraded with a Mopar 440, lift and 35s. It's EMD proof too!
  13. Bronco engineered to beat Wrangler's VCI (traversing soft terrain) according to member on Wranglerforums

I guess I'm old school. My philosophy is to keep it as simple as possible, and in my mind an auto disconnect is just one more electrical/mechanical thing to maintain or break down the road. If I didn't want the lower gearing so much, I'd go with the selectable T-case instead of the advanced for...
  14. Bronco engineered to beat Wrangler's VCI (traversing soft terrain) according to member on Wranglerforums

Agreed! There's two areas where a SFA beats an IFS pretty much every time--durability and the cost to lift a couple inches or so. Those are the two main reasons I ditched my 89 4Runner for a 98 Cherokee, but dang I wish I had kept that 1st generation 4Runner and just swapped in a solid axle!
  15. Bronco engineered to beat Wrangler's VCI (traversing soft terrain) according to member on Wranglerforums

Looks like I didn't make myself clear. The 85% was comparing to a Wrangler travel, not to the Bronco base suspension and it was a total guess. I agree that clearly the Sasquatch suspension will perform better than the base. I also agree that extra clearance usually makes a bigger difference than...
  16. Bronco engineered to beat Wrangler's VCI (traversing soft terrain) according to member on Wranglerforums

Nice try, but compare the angles of the front and rear axles between the two pictures. The Wrangler is clearly more "crossed up". That said, both compare very well and I'm encouraged that my Bronco will go where I've taken my Jeep.
  17. Bronco engineered to beat Wrangler's VCI (traversing soft terrain) according to member on Wranglerforums

And a lot of us are not doing the same thing, but from the Bronco side? Such self-valuation seems silly, but the comparisons are very helpful. From driving one and watching other Jeeps on the trails, I know what a Jeep can do. Comparisons like the VCI, help me predict what the Bronco should be...
  18. Bronco engineered to beat Wrangler's VCI (traversing soft terrain) according to member on Wranglerforums

That was a very informative read, but it leaves me wanting much more information. The key thing I noted is that the Badland's VCI will out perform the Rubicon's within 90% of the Rubicon's articulation. I interpret that to mean that the Sasquatch suspension VCI will be better within ~85%, since...
