I own Chevy’s and they make some good stuff so I hate to say it but I really think they are too out of it to be worried. GM is just not well run and hasn’t been for decades. Of course it took Ford a really long time to build this so I’m not giving them star pupil award, but they did get the...
That is what a lot of people have reported. Some are reporting ADM. There is a big sticky thread that has all the known dealers that have committed to no ADM. Need to be aware of other gotchas like high doc fees and dealer added stuff. Dealer margin on Bronco is pretty low - MSRP is less than...
Yikes! You have taken this in a way I did not intend. Please note that the first thing I posted was I found your poll interesting. It’s your thread, I’ll bow out and not post again.
I agree with that as well, I don’t normally comment on what people should be doing with their money. But I had to make an exception at the $100 level :) .
Well if you haven’t read the FAQ on Ford’s site that says you can change at order date (that is still up but I expect will be changed) then it would be good news for you but it is not good news for those going by what Ford had previously communicated.
They don’t “take” an order until price is agreed. So yes, I expected this process to work just like it does for ordering any brand vehicle from any dealer. You spec the vehicle when you are ready to order, dealer quotes price, you either come to agreement on price or you talk to another dealer.
Definitely. This just requires mucking around with dealer twice - once before you order and then in Dec when you order. Much worse than being able to change in Dec.
The news stories are all based on what Ford has said. I just don’t get why you think Ford hasn’t already done exactly what you are trying to do (except they actually have the information to do it) when they said some may not receive their units until 2022. You really think Ford just looked at...
I presume this means won’t be able to change dealer when ordering in Dec. I would much rather be able to change my dealer when ordering versus now. Don’t see how this is good news.
I know nothing of Ford production but I wonder if they really are going to produce 6,000 saleable units (dealers x 2) - shut down production to wait for those 6,000 units to arrive at dealers (weeks) take orders (over what - minimum 2 week period) and then resume production in reserved order...
Not even close for the reasons noted above, they know total reservations, duplicate reservations and production ramp. We know none of that.
We know that 30% of the people on this forum that answered this poll have two reservations. That may be reflective of the duplicates in the total...
I think this poll is interesting but I don’t think it tells you anything about delivery.
Ford knows exactly how many multiple orders they have from the same household. Not to mention they know how many total reservations they have — we have no idea. They know how they expect production to...
