I'm puzzled that so many are upset that there's a charge for bringing a guest. This experience is all extra. Ford didn't have to make an off roading experience available for free, or at all. It costs a lot of money to set up events like this; no one should be surprised that there are some fees...
If Ford is sending a boilerplate email to everyone at the same time, I find it hard to believe it will include a delivery estimate that is individualized to each of our orders.
This leads me to believe that we are going to get bad news en masse

I wonder if it is the tow package holding it up. Could also be the MIC top that comes with the 2 door. Those are both commodity constraints I think.
It seems unreasonable to me to expect a truly extreme off-roading experience at a corporate-sponsored event. This looks more like an attempt by Ford to introduce some basic off-roading experiences to a broad class of Bronco buyers. For what it is, it looks fun to me.
