All I know is I’ve been waiting since late October, I removed the tow package then 5 days later my build date comes up. Call it coincidence, but I can get an aftermarket kit.

You’re correct, it’s the chip in the 7 pin. I assumed there was an overdrive on the transmission but all the tow kit is trailer hitch and wiring. I’ve always had 4 pin, so figured buy aftermarket.

Me too and I couldn’t believe I remove the tow O’Flaherty and the following week I get a build date, makes no sense but that Ford right about now.

When I found out the Tow package was a big holdup and the only difference in factory was 7 pin it was a no brainer.

@Gtbronco I was told I was #2, have a first day timestamp and I'm feeling like it means nothing. Maybe when we finally get our Broncos we can head out for a ride!

Just venting because they said I was #2 on list, I see this one marked up$14k which besides color is the same model I ordered. I'm waiting while they're selling. I guess the bright side is I'm not dealing with issues yet..
