The smaller Escape based Bronco is the one to be called Adventurer and is aimed at the Cherokee. The T-6 Bronco is the one aimed at the Wrangler and since the only thing we have seen as far as test mules have been the FrankenRangers it's to early to tell if it will be up to the challenge.
The ignition switch problem is because you have to much junk hanging off your keychain and the a8 problem is because you don't know how to drive a automatic transmission.
I agree but I think it's more like applying the Jeep name Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Compass, Jeep Renegade. If Ford's eventual plan is to make Bronco it's own division and to go toe to toe with Jeep then it makes sense.
It's all about sales the same reason when Ford refreshed the Five Hundred and changed the name to Taurus. Tying the Bronco name to the new same suv is to create sales.
Also it's my understanding that the styling didn't go over well with the focus groups who saw it so it had to be changed. Changing styling adds more time to it.
