Well, itās official. My dealer said NO to honoring my price protection. Weāll give it one more go once we are there and ask them to contact the zone rep. I doubt thatās going to do any good at this point, though.
I understand the market has tanked some, but they just offered me a little more. Still not where we needed to be. š I told my husband that I canāt walk from this, though!
Iāve been in Hearn since yesterday. Being unloaded in Kirby, 10 miles from my dealership! š Wow, youāve been on the rail a long time! Who knows, I may stay stuck in Hearn for another week. Guess it wouldnāt hurt either..my dealer just came back with a number on my trade that was $6k lower than...
Haha..having fun with this! Thanks! š Itās possible I have more important things to do, but my Bronco is so close so those other things can wait! š
Sorry to hear that; that totally sucks! I had a blend date of 10/18, and my Bronco shipped out the next day. I have a BD and am in Texas too. Last tracking showed it a couple of hours away from my dealership in Texas.
It doesnāt make sense that yours is still awaiting shipment.
Latest update on my railcar is ādeparted Bay City (?), TX on 10/31!!!ā If so, thatās very close! Not only is it IN Texas, but itās in the area! š± I think it might be at my dealer before the 11-4 date my salesman said! š
Dang it. I wonder if your salesman has addressed your āprice at time of orderā with the GM. Heās ultimately the one who decides, not your salesman. Donāt give up hope; Iām not either! Itās something weāll have to discuss once we are there in person. Things can work out just as they should. š
Whaaaat?! The salesman doesnāt have the info, but he can CERTAINLY get the rail car info for you from their freight person or whatever they are called. Lol. My salesman had mine to me in less than five minutes from when I asked! He thinks itāll be here by Thursday. š¬ You are certainly right...
Just got an update from the hotline of ādeparted Missouriā today on the UP! My salesman said š· (I know, ādrinkā) that he wouldnāt be surprised if it was at the dealership by November 4th! Itās pretty quick once itās on the UP, and the rail yard is only 10 miles from the dealership! š¬
Edit...
I got my CSX rail car number from my dealer. My salesman just had to get with the person who handles shipments at the dealership, and it took less than 5 minutes to get. š
Calling CSX said āaccepted into interchangeā as of last night. But it also said that about the day prior. How many times is it accepted into interchange? š Iām west of the Mississippi, but I donāt know how to get that new number. The tracking app on here doesnāt pull any rail car info for me.
Sasquatch owners/orderers, please donāt attack me! š But Iām not a huge fan of the sas wheels. You can always beef up the BD wheels you have, and itāll look great! Iāll probably run my stock tires for a while though.
