Taking fenders off, I would say is already easier than changing brake pads. If they made that even easier... fingers crossed I don’t have to shed a tear over some free pinstriping before I’m mentally prepared for a scratched up truck. That was really quick guys thank you
Yea I saw that too. I thought that was a good idea. Then I saw somewhere they had like every body panel laying out off the car too. It got me thinking about what if we can take the whole fender off instead of just the flares? No fender no door no quarter just tires and cage basically. Maybe...
Yea exactly. I want to have fun with the truck. But I also want to do it with with a semi clear mind without having to worry about scratching up a brand new vehicle (would be my first brand new car).
Would be cool to have different panels like widebody or tube or whatever people want to do...
A detail that was in a few videos had mentioned that body panels come off relatively easily. Of course doors roof etc., but then they talk about the flares.
Then I see the rear quarters and it got me thinking. Do you think they made the fenders and quarters to be easily...
So if you get a base with the 7spd can you add:
lockers
Front axle
Lift
35’ wheels and tires?
basically a sas without the electronics and the bilsteins, but with the 7sp?
more will they block that?
Yeesh I never thought about saying headers vs down pipe before hahaha. So embarrassing. All I know is if I can’t get that rumble I want at least a little something for that extra flava haha
All this points to is the trans wasn’t built strong enough for anything beyond what the i4 and tame driving can do to it.
big tires soft suspension lockers front and back? sounds like the manual trans is the weak link. Super unfortunate. Understandable, since mt’s don’t really sell, but...
@Country101st , so what were your impressions of the truck?
also, there’s a guy worried about room for his knees side to side with the center console. How did your knees feel in there?
Am I the only weird guy thinkin a soft top two doors would be the standard? Had a hardtop wrangler, always wanted the soft top. Sad. Hopefully the Sasquatch package is decently priced. Fingers crossed.
Had a 91 wrangler - loved doors roof stuff obviously. Pulled the floor plugs, it was already older when I got it. Had a lot of fun.
- hated vacuum lines for 4wd. Hated them. Bothered me bouncing down the highway. Hated the absolutely gutless nature of the truck.
Had an 89 taco - loved that...
Bittersweet for sure. Pumped to learn more ASAP, but also bummed for the people that worked hard to keep it under wraps. Thanks for sharing 72. But, I’m sorry ford, kc, lux and others.
