I picked up a 2-door big bend a few weeks ago which I ordered end of march and to my surprise, I got a ~$2,300 rebate, supposedly for my (~ 3 months) wait :ROFLMAO:. Still way overpriced even with the rebate, really wanted a base, but no luck ordering one...:(

YES the I-4 is MUCH LOUDER compared to the V6. The I-4 has the engine sound charcteristic of well, a "Cheap" four cylinder engine, while the V6 has a much more pleasant/enjoyable sound. I think long term reliability the larger displacement engine will fare better, time will tell.

I have had both engines, both in two-door bronco form, automatic. the V6 is definitely quicker than the I-4, which is a good engine but is the loudest small engine I have ever owned! Fun to drive though, but if I'm keeping for the long run, I'd definitely go with the V6.
