I think the ball joints and tie rods do fine on stock or even lifted rigs but leveling kits force them to operate at angles they werenāt designed for. Just my experience with 200k on a leveled F-150.
Well they havenāt made any improvements since 2004. Either generation of Raptor would have been an excellent time to design something robust enough for a stock street driven F-150.
It has nothing to do with the solenoid. Even when working properly the IWEs still fail because the splines are...
Running Baja doesnāt prove shit. The Raptor did it too and has the same junk IWEs that the F-150 has. My brother already had one fail on his bone stock ā18 with 30k miles.
Iām not totally opposed to a quality IFS but I have zero faith that Ford will use anything but wider Ranger parts on the...
Stock vs stock the D44 is way stronger than Ford IFS. I was simply pointing out that there are tons of upgrades for the 44 if stock isnāt good enough.
I highly doubt the Bronco will use components that are any beefier than the Raptor, which are mostly just regular F-150 parts, and those fail...
Durability is one reason. Fordās vacuum operated IFS hubs are weak AF and there is no alternative.
Tons of upgrades for Jeepās Dana 44 and you can bolt a 60 in its place.
Hard to say just from the R, but itās not looking good.
Iām betting the JLUR would serve me better as far as off-road performance, durability, modifications... Just wish Jeep offered a TTV6.
How much travel will it have at production width though? 8ā?
The R is definitely a bad ass rig, just probably not what a lot of us are interested in. I donāt understand the need for another desert machine. The Raptor has that covered. While the Early Bronco has a history in the desert itās not...
Iām really trying to be alright with the idea of IFS but had a bit of an issue yesterday...
Out elk hunting on a snowy mountain road and had another IWE (locking hub) failure on my F-150. Iāve changed IWEs and hubs several times but they just donāt hold up to 35ā tires. These are the same parts...
Maybe you you you you could use your brain.
Your post still says the 2 door Bronco will be about 190 inches long. Then claims it will obviously be shorter than that? WTF kind of info is this?
It is true that disconnecting the sway bar on most IFS vehicles has less benefit than most solid axle rigs, but it is still worth doing. This is mostly due to the fact that most solid axles have a lot more articulation than most IFS setups.
Friend of mine snapped both sway bars on his rzr and...
My OPINION based on rumors, hearsay, spy shots, current Ford offerings, and my own SWAG:
Please Fill in the Blank - if it is an very good educated probability for a 4Runner Competitor.
Engine: 2.3 at launch, hybrid later, 2.7 later on Raptor or other higher trims
Auto Transmission: 10 speed...
