  1. Northern California dealership discussion

*scratching my head* How is The Ford Store $450 over invoice when X-Plan is invoice minus .04% plus $275. The pricing should be the same at any dealer, any other difference being your trade-in if you have one
  2. California Check-in

I like to try and support my home town business whenever possible not only with the profit revenue the dealer makes but the sales tax revenue also earned. This is a unique situation where everyone is on the same playing field, but some choose to do their own thing.....which is when my loyalty stops.
  3. California Check-in

Neither Future Ford or Lithia are honoring X-Plan. I haven’t checked Madera Ford yet. The Ford Store in MorgannHill and the dealer in Rio Vista are
  4. Northern California dealership discussion

We believe the mail-in is a direct response to all of the memberships being generated. MCA membership is eligible for X-Plan after 60 days of being a member
  5. Northern California dealership discussion

I also received an honest reply from Lithia Ford in Fresno that they will not be honoring X-Plan, thus that may also mean they may not honor MSRP either. Nothing but crickets on my email sent 2 weeks ago to Future Ford in Clovis which leads me to believe they will not honor X-Plan as the other...
  6. Granger Motors Bronco Pricing and clarifications for the masses

That seems to be in possible direct violation of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a Federal Law that involves consumer product warranties.
  7. Did Ford make a mistake bolting the spare directly to tailgate?

Ford has confirmed that all tailgates are designed with the weight of the 315 tire in mind. No modifications will be necessary
  8. Granger Motors Bronco Pricing and clarifications for the masses

I know this has been answered elsewhere as I have read it and it is thoroughly explained. In short, once the vehicle is in Calif, you will need to smog it then go to the DMV and pay sales tax and registration fees at which time they will hand you plates
  9. Granger Motors Bronco Pricing and clarifications for the masses

Honda products are just the opposite. They have a special break-in oil that is meant to be left in the engine as long as possible. The maintenance minder in my 4WD Pilot didn’t require changing the oil until 9,100 miles.....but I also did quite a bit of long distance freeway driving in that...
  10. Florida Off Road Options

Canal levies, beaches that allow vehicle access, & county dirt roads are places in Florida I think of. You might need low range to crawl over those large pythons found in the Everglades......and collect your bounty
  11. Road Noise

I would recommend that you take a step down and order an Outer Bank with the stock tire package and headliner insulation that will give you a quieter ride
  12. Anyone else concerned about getting burned with "first to market" pricing?

Those 1st gen TSX’s were among the best ever built cars. We have a 2008 TSX that looks and drives every bit as good as the day we drove it off the dealer’s lot in March 2008. We will be selling our TSX after we acquire the Bronco as no need for 3 cars in the stable
  13. Anyone else concerned about getting burned with "first to market" pricing?

So you are saying that the interest rate Ford is charging can be as high as 5.9% for Tier 1 borrowers? That’s pretty outrageous considering the cost of money today. Non promotional rates should be 2%-3% and realizing that Ford doesn’t need promo financing to help sell the Bronco
  14. So only 15.8 MPG?

The larger tires will negate the effect of the lower gearing to an extent, but the larger tires add extra weight to be pushed.
  15. Cash Vs Bank

Get yourself pre-approved at your Credit Union first, that way you know the exact terms of the loan you are getting before negotiating the vehicle cost. When you have to sit in front of the Finance Person to sign the paperwork and turn down the offered dealer spiffs, you have just sped up the...
  16. Did Ford make a mistake bolting the spare directly to tailgate?

The tire mounted to the swing gate is preferred as the swing away spare tire carrier that was on the original Bronco tended to rattle due to extended use
  17. What would be a realistic towing capacity?

Your thoughts are unrealistic and unsafe. There are multiple factors that involve the max trailer weight that can be towed. The first is what’s called the Gross Combined Weight Rating (the rated maximum combined weight of the vehicle and towable). We don’t know that number yet. Once you start...
  18. So only 15.8 MPG?

I know Calif gas is high, but it’s only close to $4 if you live in a remote area.....the upper $2 to lower $3/gal cost is typical in most areas
  19. So only 15.8 MPG?

I disagree.....The low & proper gearing keeps The mileage up, but the extra weight of the tires doesn’t help
