I used a dremel tool to chop the pins and some 240 grit to grind a good even contact surface the mold tape could adhere to It was 7/8" mold tape, i just covered the entire emblem back with long strips and trimmed down the edges with an exacto blade. It was a bit more work than the ready to go...

Adding to the thread - I picked up a set of refurb '66 sport emblems, added a little elbow grease and swear words, some 3M mold tape and this was the result. I think the satin black looks perfect over the white!

After 3 rescheduled delivery windows, shes finally home. Feels good man
