  1. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Version 2022.06.21 just uploaded, with the new features and bug fixes from the earlier post. #fingerscrossed
  2. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

A preview of things in the next release, which I'd been working on until the unanticipated API change this morning: An new option icon on the widget that will force the vehicle to refresh. Because of possible drain on the 12V battery, it has a built-in nanny which limit how many times you can...
  3. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

2022.06.20 was just pushed to GitHub; Play Store should be available in a few hours. If you didn't notice an issue and had not tried to log in again on the app, you should just be able to install this and then do a "Refresh". Worst case, just log in again.
  4. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Public service announcement; this morning I (abruptly) discovered that the API I was using changed, so logins and token refreshes no longer work. I'm working on updating the API calls with help from @tonesto7, so hopefully there will be a fixed version posted today.
  5. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Off-topic (sort of): I started this and got sidetracked so never officially posted here. If you have a minute, and don't mind going to a site which doesn't support https :/, I wanted to get an idea of how the app is being used. The poll is open until 6/22 and I'll post results at the...
  6. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

The app is now available on Google Play. There are no major differences between it and the GitHub version, except that there is no option to check for updates and install through the app. Thanks to the early testers for helping get this up and running.
  7. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Version 2022.05.31 just uploaded. Notable in this release: Ford Escape vehicles are now supported. On EV/PHEV vehicles, a notification is sent when charging completes. Android 9 devices can now save/restore settings, save log files, and save crash reports. There is also an experimental...
  8. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

WARNING: an update was accidentally pushed out this morning to GItHub. DO NOT INSTALL. It's a non-working version. If you do install, you will need to manually sideload the 2022.05.30 version just uploaded. Edit: Here is the link to 2022.05.30 (it's the same as 2022.05.25, just a later...
  9. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Version 2022.05.25 just uploaded. This release fixes a significant bug with missing information in the databases after logging into the Ford servers which caused the app to quickly crash. I believe this mainly happens on new installs or when the app's data was cleared. If you noticed no...
  10. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

You can start/stop/unlock/lock from the widget, just enable under setting then tap the ignition or lock icons.
  11. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Version 2022.05.12 just uploaded. The changes are described in the change log. I wanted to make everyone aware of my plan to release a version of the app (still free) on the Google Play store in the next one or two weeks. The only internal differences between the versions will the Google Play...
  12. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

I'd like to ask someone who's running the latest version to do me a favor: save your settings, download the prefs.zip to your computer, and extract the image of your vehicle in the shared_prefs/images folder. Rename it to something to hide your VIN, then upload in a new Issue on GitHub. I need...
  13. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

For what it's worth, in the last bugfix version I changed the app so it will now check to see if there's an update available when you click that.
  14. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

That's normal; It only checks the GitHub server once an hour, so when you click "Update App" it's showing the latest information it found. On the other hand, I forgot to actually push the commit until about 20 minutes ago 🤦
  15. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Version 2022.04.29 just uploaded. There are a lot of changes, most that you won't notice (hopefully). The main ones you will notice are described in the change log. I've attempted to make the app import your old data automatically once it starts. Should it crash instead, then (a) please send...
  16. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Version 2022.04.04 just uploaded. This is the first version with in-app updating, and of course it crashes . At least you should be able to read the changelog. To install the update the old way, go into Settings, and at the bottom click on GitHub repo. You can get the APK from there.
  17. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Version 2022.03.31 just uploaded. The main addition is for handling app updates. There is now an Update activity which will display the changelog contents (so you can see what's new) and give you the option to update, which then downloads the new APK and hands it to the package installer...
  18. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Version 2022.03.21 just uploaded. The only major addition is support for remote stop. I added additional back-end code to monitor whether commands succeed or fail. Some of you may notice is that, unlike the FordPass app, you can no longer extend the remote start time by pressing the ignition...
  19. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Enable logging under Developer options, double-tap on one of the icons, wait about 30 seconds for the status refresh to happen, then save the log file (and disable logging). Create a new Issue on GitHub and post the logfile there.
  20. Android widget - Update: Up and running. Thanks! Kennelh

Ok, it will do that if the commands are disabled. When enabled, you need to do a double tap.
