I have not. I did turn on the sub, but did not turn off the EQ. Did you? Sound better? Iāve played wit the amp settings on my two amps enough to where it sounds really good at this point. But like I said thatās with a lot of adjustment.
I agree with the kickers being very bright. I had to turn the treble down just to keep it from being so piercing. Iām interested in seeing what you find. I will say my JL Audio TW3 mounted to the gate is awesome!!!
I must have missed this. Was it determined the 2 ohm impedance was pulling too much power? I donāt want to burn up this little amp. If needed Iāll switch it out with a 4 ohm.
Nice! Iāve swapped all of the factories but want to replace the 4ā pods with 6.5s. Thatās next on the list. I also added a 4 channel amp as well as a 500 watt sub amp. Both under the seats.
Agree it was well worth the cost! Also agree with the consensus on the forum. I would have spent a ton more otherwise. The guy at the audio shop gave me a quote of $2000 to add an 8! šš¤£š
I should have been more clear. That was plug and play for the sub. No modifications needed for the enclosure. I got the Fusion amp, like others, and then used Forscan to ā turn it onā. I wanted a little more so I then built a custom enclosure and added a JL Audio 10.
It has a āsubā with no magnet and an āampā with no internal components. I replaced mine with a kicker 6.75 and an actual amp. Plug and play! Works great!
You will need to remove much more than the speaker grate. There are a lot of YouTube videos on it. I will say I did the exact same thing replacing the speaker with with a 6.75 Kicker and it was plug and play. I also replaced the amp with the fusion amp, plug and play there too. WELL WORTH IT!
I just finished doing the exact same thing this weekend. All kicker speakers plug and play. Ran Forscan and turned on the sub amp. I canāt express how much better it sounds!!!!
Thank you @RagnarKon ! Using your video I was able to, with changing a 4 to a 6, get the sub on my 23 to work perfectly. Replaced the dummy āsubā that was there with a kicker 6.75 plug and play!
