All depends on the market in five years. We could have a crash. We could be at war with China. I traded in my 2017 4Runner for more than my purchase price when I picked up my Bronco in April 2022.
I’ll report that the A/C in the Bronco also does the job extremely well. Have the soft top in Phoenix and 120 degrees outside and even hotter inside cools down way faster than my 4Runner or Wrangler did.
I’m going on top down season two with my Gearshade, which stays fitted under my soft top. No issues so far and love it for the price. JTop looks awesome as well but it wasn’t available when I purchased my Bimini.
I removed the badges for my PPF application, then added Bronco scripts in their place (the good ones Ford demanded a certain retailer stop selling) and love them. However, I kept the badges and a few weeks later relocated them below the scripts. Looks great!
I’ve been driving a 2017 4Runner since early 2017 and when driving between AZ and CA, as I do quite a bit, I’d have a sore back for days and had to “walk off” the drive every time. I loved The 4Runner, and figured the sore back and legs was just due to me crossing the half century mark in life...
Other thread says you paid $43k out the door, $39k MSRP plus taxes and shipping. You did a cheap lift and added Wildtrak wheels and tires to a base? I paid less than what you’re asking out the door with a SAS high package OBX, modular bumper, aux switches, and several other goodies.
Order exactly what you want and work out a lease extension till it comes in? Use build and price on the OBX for exactly what you want and see where it comes in. My SAS OBX was ordered Nov 1, got a build date early Jan and was delivered May 1. Six months, $20k under what similarly equipped used...
Don’t worry about it, that Rubicon will be a blast around Phoenix. Mine was too, as was my 4Runner. I do love my Bronco even more, but like you said it took forever to get here. Fortunately I had a fun off-rold vehicle in the meantime.
I was going to answer your 4Runner question as I traded in my 2017 4Runner for my 2022 SAS OBX with high package, modular bumper and aux switches. Before the 4Runner I had Wranglers, and way back in the 80’s had a couple Broncos.
I couldn’t be happier after 10,000 miles in the Bronco. I’ve...
Looks fantastic with the Velocity Blue! I switched from Wildtrak to OBX just to get the roast cloth seats and and bronze dash for my Velocity Blue baby. Great job. I’d do something similar if I weren’t in a desert where leather burns your butt, cracks, and fades!
Paired with IAG’s rear soft top struts, the Ford soft top has been awesome. I’m in Arizona and am constantly switching between all up, front portion back, just rear windows out (safari mode), soft top all the way down, and totally removed. Doors on and off too. Have door and soft top window bags...
