My dealer (Canada) advised that I would need to put in a non-refundable $500 deposit down with my order. Does anyone know if by the time the truck is delivered and if reviews/hands-on are meh, can I simply give up the deposit, or am I contractually obligated to go through with the purchase?

I'm in Canada so situation may be a bit different but when the dealer called to make my order, he confirmed that the $500 deposit was non-refundable (and he wasn't sure how the $100 refundable deposit that I've already paid would be addressed).
