Thanks for checking up! Summertime and the livin' is easy. Gold flecks in Eruption Green sparkling in the sunlight. Loving Steamboat as a ranch rig--dust, bird poop, squished bugs and all.
Planning our Death Valley trip (+ Lone Pine Western Film Festival) for October, and a few short summer...
@shawn6107 , what was the upshot w/ CJ Pony Parts? They didn't call me back from their auto-call-back system. I'm interested in their mudflaps and whether they're reputable in general.
And to socks w/ Topsiders. Very uncool.
Seriously, tho, I am a socks aficionado--very particular about what I run in and put into various shapes of Western riding boots. Best all around: SmartWool, even in summer
Sorry this happened. The Volvo definitely has the mark of someone who entered the rotary before his time. We Mass. people should know better. Stanford recently put "roundabouts" on campus, creating mass (pun intended) confusion and deer-in-headlights effect for most drivers.
Did anyone else get an "item is in" e-mail from WeatherTech after months on the waiting list for mudflaps, only to find that they are not available? Either they sold out in the hour between the e-mail and my going to the site or there is a bug in their inventory system or ...??? The system...
I had been on the WeatherTech waiting list for mud flaps for months. Got an e-mail this morning saying they were in, but when I went to the site I got a message saying they were not in and a form to fill out again to get notified. So either they sold out in the time it took me to respond to the...
The rail yard is like the dark side of the moon--no visuals or communication til your get The Call from your dealer. Ours sat in rail yard limbo for 2 weeks!--we even went down there to see if we could spot him. Didn't. But saw a whole fleet of Tesla-branded transport trucks picking up their homies.
Once or twice/day, then stopped at destination rail yard. I think one time it stayed in one place for a day, and the recording will still give the latest location. We're all rooting for you!
Oh, I see. I'm not looking to do anything more to the exterior except mud flaps and may get another set of mirror chrome retro Bronco script badges--put one on the upper left of the tail gate, offer to sell the other.
So these are sill plates? Rubber? Vinyl? I like the retro lettering. Would like the others more if the lettering were more like Ford's. Can't tell if it's the font or just that spacing that's different.
Ah-ho! Constantly doing the Adams ceramic waterless wash, RainX'g windows, etc. Enjoying 5 different kinds of microfiber mitts & towels & paraphernalia. More like caressing than just cleaning. (And we are in dust and pollen season.)
Maybe you could work out a merit system for points by doing dishes, serving breakfast in bed, taking out trash, washing cars, mowing lawn. For every twenty points, you get to drive the Bronco.
Hi, Everyone. Just joined this group w/ Steamboat, our Eruption Green Base Camp. We're in the SF Bay Area, drive to L.A. 2-3x/year, and would like to know about activities in Central CA.
