Did the cupholder portion of this mod today. I was able to get it 100% factory looking IMO. Here are some closeups.
I trimmed all the tabs where the cupholder mates with the trim
I only trimmed 3 screw posts
I used a heat gun to flex the center of the new one outward
I tried all settings, including floor, and no dice. But from looking at images of the whole hvac system, I think that center section would connect into the front ducts or in the middle where that honeycomb is in post 115.
Bad news. Drilled a 1/4" hole here and ran the ac on max. Tried changing airflow, etc and no air came out of the hole.
So there must be an internal cap on that section somewhere, which makes this a much larger job than anticipated.
Thanks!
If its not in the Ford parts catalog, does that mean if I order it from a dealer they won't be able to get it? I imagine several of these parts are on backorder/not available.
Is this the only part number you are seeing for the console? This is the only part that doesn't show up when I use a 2025 VIN on the Ford parts website so just want to make sure there is only one version of it for 2025.
I posted an image a few posts back of where that piece would connect. Its the spot I noted would need dremeling.
Tomorrow im going to try to do a test and drill through the part im suggesting dremeling to see if my theory is correct. If im right, Im going to order the parts as well.
I'm with you. In FL and just got a great deal on a 24 in a color that is no longer produced for 2025. No desire to trade in and doesnt make sense to do so, but I want the vents. It gets hot in the back when it sits out for a while in the sun. I'm very close to being the guinea pig here. Should...
My 2 cents on the evaporator housing - wouldn't need to change it out. Just need to dremel out the opening and add some foam gasket or sealant around it. The mould appears to be mostly the same on the 24/25 and the honeycomb opening at the top of the blend area appears to be open. Wouldn't know...
Pretty sure we will need the Control Selector Lever Cover too. They redesigned it to raise the cupholders up and the wireless charging bin toward the front to make room for the ducting, which runs down the passenger side of the console.

Does anyone have the part numbers for the colored LEDs that go in the cupholder? From my understanding, the cupholder doesn't come with them and I went through this thread and couldn't find them.
Wanted to post my findings here, as I also ran into the P160B error that another user noted when changing the values to all 0's. While the change worked and got rid of the seatbelt reminder, I didn't like the idea of the P160B code sitting in there. (I have a 2024 Raptor btw)
Did a ton of...
