FWIW - that promo runs every month for new customers. I bought some stuff back in April that's been sitting in my garage ever since. My first ETA was 4/28. That's before I learned that Ford ETA's were worth the same Enron stock.
I'm trying to think of ways this ordering process could've gone worse. I could've been hit with a trident in the chest while at the dealership placing my order.
Thanks for your insight in the trucking industry. I noted in an earlier post that Ford doesn't seem to have any urgency to resolving their shipping backlog. It appears they believe the problem will just magically be resolved on its own one day. According to the trackerapp, there were 644...
Yeah - just don't see myself driving around a vehicle where the manufacturer and dealer care so little about their customers. The buying experience matters.
Received another new ETA yesterday - 7/14. This is my 9th ETA overall and my 4th after being built and in awaiting shipment status. I emailed my dealer 10 days ago asking if he could find out why it hasn't shipped. He said he would check with his contact at Ford. I hadn't hear anything back...
No question there is a shortage. The question is, what is Ford doing about it? I'm more than a little surprised that Ford hasn't come up with a solution to reduce the glut of cars waiting to ship. Use rail cars to deliver to more places? Increase what you're paying to have vehicles shipped...
I don't think you're far off. The rate at which vehicles going into awaiting shipment this week is much lower than previous weeks. Meanwhile, the total # of awaiting shipment has only decreased by 15 or so since yesterday at this time. At this rate, it will take 6 weeks to ship every...
Disappointing that even during plant shutdown the number of vehicles awaiting shipment continues to climb. Up to 647 now. Was around 630 to start the day. That basically says they're finishing up the holds one at a time but nothing is shipping...at least not via convoy.
So with everyone checking multiple tracking sites several times/day for months, calling and chatting with customer service, and checking this board...what's everyone going to do with the extra time in their day once their Bronco arrives? :D
Got the email last night. Very odd. I've had 9 different ETA's and this is the first one where I've received email notifying me that they were updating it.
I've been awaiting shipping since 6/10. After receiving my 3rd ETA since then, I emailed my dealer on Friday. He replied Saturday that he would ask his contact at Wayne logistics for an answer.
Called Ford Marketing this morning. Spoke to two different people and neither could connect me to logistics. I was told, "Your best bet on knowing when you're going to receive your Bronco is to wait until you're notified that it has shipped." Hello Captain Obvious! The only information they...
My ETA just got bumped again to 7/11. This is my 3rd ETA since going into "Awaiting Shipping" and my 9th different ETA overall. Built 6/10. I've called the dealer and the marketing line and no one knows why it hasn't shipped. Clown show.
